Establish first that we are talking about 50K Sterling not 50K in USD.

Use 10 grand to get me through cdl class a school and pay my bills while I’m getting it, drive for a year and save every penny possible, then take the remaining 40 grand and what i have saved and buy my own truck. I’d make $200,000 easy the second year. Hard to get a return like that investing.

Dude, a life insurance check for 50k is very small...They usualy are for $250k and up...

$50,000.00 isn't a huge amount of money, but it's a good start if there is "time" to be used as a growth factor...

I would take the four checks that you mentioned and invest one of them in gold, the next one in silver and then do some home improvements with the third chunk and sit on the last one, in cash.

I have everything i need and no debt ... PMs will skyrocket when they switch to digital currency - it might take a year for cash to evaporate and if SS crashes with the collapse - you are going to need cash until they issue the gov credit card and I can live off of 12.5 K, comfortably for a year- if the lights stay on or not

If you know what you are doing! I would end up with 50,000 bucks worth of cheap swords and knives, or something...I don't know much about the value of collectibles or antiques, who would ever buy them from me, nor how much they are willing to pay for it...That's a talent and a skill...
