A customer going behind the counter uninvited is a threat.

It does not bother me in the least that threat was mitigated with great haste by the actions of the Taco Bell employee.

I'm not one who wants to play the game of tapping on each other's heads for a while, so someone has a story to tell later.

I fully endorse asymmetrical means in situations such as this.

There seems to be a whole culture of people who need to learn what it's like to be civil even when you don't get "your way" or if things do not turn out the way that you hoped.

I learned a long time ago to not get into battles with the people preparing one's food anyway. You have no idea what they might do to it.

Best to just take the L and move on.

Unfortunately, those two took an even bigger L because they do not know how to act.

There should be castle doctrine laws for customer service jobs. If you don’t work there and step behind the counter uninvited, the employees should be legally immune to liability for dealing with you however they see fit.

You wouldn’t walk into someone’s home uninvited and expect to not be shot or harmed. What gives them the right to step into their private workspace and make threats?

It used to be mainly overnight gas station jobs that were dangerous to work at. Now everywhere is potentially dangerous. Yet all these corporations wonder why no one wants to work for the public for $15 or even $20 an hour. It’s just not worth the risk. With that low of pay you’re scraping by nowadays to begin with.

This is a woman and a girl that were brought into the store unnecessarily (could have just brought out the food) after hours. There was no fearing for their safety and one step over an imaginary line should not get them put in critical condition.

And the quest behavior you will see from humans on those forums are not from African Americans or even Africans, without me saying specific parts of the world.
