He was also convicted in 2016 for carrying a firearm while intoxicated. Automatically prohibits him from carrying a firearm. But he says at the time of the shooting he was unaware that his license was suspended and never renewed. What a load of shit

They will throw this out immediately for withholding evidence. (The civil trial and federal one for 10 million)

The judge may let it go to jury anyway just to say the jury acquitted the defendant in a full jury trial. Optics.

He would have had a better case had he admitted he had a gun and asked for punishment for illegally carrying. The timing is very close.

It would have be be submitted via screenshot to evidence or if they don't have proof of the conversation it would be considered here say. Unless they call his roommate to the stand and have him testify about the conversation.

Which by the complete demonstration by the defenses expertise I would say they already have a game plan. They knew what he was going to testify about and laid out a perfect cross examine on the liar.

Yeah they know it’s not solid. It’s hearsay. But like I said above, I think they just want to catch the rat in another trap.
