I have to admit, July and August almost did me in with the heat, but it's so nice now.

If it comes to the point of living like an ancient Native American, that's what we'll do. But everyone in my family preps and I think we have several years worth of food in the caves. But might be nice to have some fresh meat once in awhile.

Ancient native Americans could never achieve a population density large enough to defend their territory with on a hunting and gathering diet. No hunter/gatherer society ever has. Only nations with livestock have population densities large enough to defend their borders.

I think you're overestimating "city people". We're pretty remote, one way in, one way out, with teams already prepared to defend the roads. And that's just the "base camp"...after that, there is no road to our actual place.

Some people have been preparing for this for decades. Soy boys or urban thugs won't stand a chance. They will be too busy killing each other in the city.

Even if no one makes it out of the city, the wildlife won't last very long.

I just read another article that says the same thing....even tires for the equipment are difficult to find. This is what happens when we "farm out" all these parts to other countries....all for the sake of boosting profits.

That's exactly what I do now. I needed some back-hoe work done, but don't have a back-hoe. A guy down the street has a back-hoe and heats with wood. I had a huge Oak log in my driveway, so I asked him if he wanted to trade. He did the work for me, and I gave him the log. Win win.

Our rural area already has contingency plans upon contingency plans to keep the "city people" out.

Roads will be blown and there will be no way out or in, except for a checkpoint or two.

All of the hard decisions have already been made and all of the hard tasks delegated to those who won't flinch.

you need to prepair the community and fortifications from now
in peace and prosperous times where you can find anything you need

forget about any armchair moms basement survival scenarios with bug out plans, you will not live more than 2-3 days
