It is good equipment, even though it doesn't market the massively sized equipment needed for farming mega-acres here in the midwest. But, to my point...just last Thursday, I picked up a set of wheels for my finish mower that had been ordered since the first week of May. If these had been for an implement used to raise/harvest feed crops or food crops, I would have been in deep shit. A farmer wouldn't have 5 months to wait on parts for a tractor. My daughter had to wait 2 weeks for a part to fix her SUV. I had to wait a couple of months for building materials for my home remodel. No matter what you need, whether it is a part for a car, truck, or tractor, or something to fix your house or barn, good luck finding a part or the materials you need! The ripple effect will be less food production, and less in our grocery stores. My middle daughter is a manager at a local grocery chain. She says they are not getting the deliveries they were getting prior to covid, so there are indeed some empty shelves. From what I have seen for myself, cat and dog food is sparse, in particular canned dog and canned cat food. Cheese dip seems to be in short supply also.So are some paper goods. The prices are going up every week in the stores. Even Dollar Tree will be raising their prices, from what I read in an article.I have a standard shopping list that I stick to pretty good, with little cheating, and my grocery bill for this month, with all of the same items as usual, except for a couple goodies I threw in, was about 30% more than the previous month. I buy all my groceries once a month when my S.S. check comes in, and just have to buy milk when I run out throughout the month. 23rd Psalm |

The hordes in the cities are slow boiling frogs that are being poisoned to begin with. And chemical poisoning aside, the mental poisoning campaign has been intensely ramped up through media. What we have is a population where the majority has been incredibly weakened, brainwashed, demoralized and even physically poisoned. The "men" have largely been socially neutered. This agenda has been going on for awhile. Most people are so weak, whether it's because they're a drug/alcohol addict or they're a workaholic that worships riding a desk to pay the bills. They are dependent peoples, and dependent people are easy to overcome. Unjabbed and Off Grid |

Big dogs, lots of guns and ammo. But you also need to network with the community that may be somewhat scattered across your area. Numbers. It's good to get collected with extended family right now. Can that provide enough security against ANYTHING? Well, of course not. But you make plans to control access with the community. Like I said, there will be no "hordes from the cities". The people that haven't taken time to do this will never make it up here. And even if a few renegades do, they would be taken care of. The "city hordes" have no organization, they are weak, and the most important thing is that they will be killing each other in their defunct cities long before they make it out here. My point is that John Deere is planning a strike that will further cripple the machinery, and parts for said machinery, than it already is. We're harvesting here too, and some implement parts are getting a little scarce. If you know jack shit about farming(which I'm betting that you don't) you know that a couple of days delay waiting on a repair part can mean the difference between a good outcome or financial ruin for farmers. Driving around in a Prius and seeing a tractor in the field doesn't qualify you to proclaim that there is no problem. Quoting: last one One thing I have learned is that for the last 2 decades, every piece of machinery involved in the planting, harvesting, transportation process are highly dependent on availability of repair parts, electronics(circuit boards), lubricants, tires, etc. And, in order for planting and harvesting to be done at the right times, these things need to be at or very near your fingertips. Or, the whole dance of crop production goes to shit = no food. I know that an underlying issue with this impending strike are the Covid mandates, even if it doesn't make the news. Let's just say my uncle works for Deere. And, the same issue is set to arise at most, if not all, of the other manufacturers of modern farm equipment. Shortages of truckers, store employees, etc. pale in comparison to what will happen if we can't keep the machinery in the fields that produce it all. A company like Deere.. pretty big company right - they should in anticipation of parts shortage set up there own manufacturing. They can prob Make a profit from other companies also. |
