Colitis: If you've dealt with it, please come in and advise me
I just got back from the ER after finding out my pain and vomiting and passing blood are from colotis.

I was given antibiotics, Flagyl and Cipro. I'm hoping they work fast....because I'm still in pain, not as bad, occasionally trying to vomit up my liver, and still passing blood, just a small amount...but I am very relieved to be at home. I hate having to go to the hospital....but I am scared.

The advise I'm looking for is just how you managed to get through this unholy hell, I'm not looking for medical advise. It's not as bad as having a bowel obstruction, but nothing is worse than that, not even a massive heart attack.

Is there anything I can do to have myself feel better?

I know probably not, but I'm asking. I haven't eaten anything for 24 hours, and I can't eat now. I'm hoping the antibiotics don't upset my stomach....I mean, I was still vomiting despite the IV Zophran in the ER.

I'm sipping on a little bit of water, but I do have aloe vera juice, and I know that will be as another healing agent. I'll get started on that after I'm sure I can hold little sips of water down, to larger sips.

Thank you for any advise you can give me. I am very scared what the colonoscopy will show, so please try to be gentle ACs. I don't want to have to block youse guyses again.

Whole Foods plants based, vegan diet will fix that over time . @highcarbhealth on Instagram has great links to different doctors supporting my statement.. plenty of evidence to show what I’m saying is the way . You’ll find a bunch of low IQ doofuses chiming in after me saying this and that about veganism, but what I said is the truth .

I already took both of them. There's no way I can eat right now. Yes, they gave me a Cat scan.

I will be following up with a GI specialist.

Gawd, maybe I'll soak a piece of bread in a little milk, and hopefully my tummy won't get to hurting.

They don't come with instructions to eat with them....shrug

I grew up with Colitis (Some light version of it)..The dr said I would eventually outgrow. No fried food..There were some dietary changes. Took Kayopectate and a small muscle relaxer pill. My friend has it and she has gained control with the Keto Diet.

You have parasites and/or bacterial infections. Regular MD's cannot help you, they're the last people who will help you, their swabs and tests are useless garbage, just like covid "tests", they just pump you full of dangerous useless ineffective poison and make excuses as to why it didn't work. Start doing liver flushes and STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN MD'S IF YOU WANT TO LIVE.

When you get ready to try anything, try this. It's kept me in remission for 12 years.

COPENHAGEN LONG CUT POUCHES.

One in the morning, one in the evening. No spitting, no swallowing. Put the pouch between your side lip and upper jaw gums.

Lots of science, Google nicotine to treat colitis.

Re: Colitis: If you've dealt with it, please come in and advise me
I’ve dealt with low grade Colitis for the last third of my 63 years. Be very careful with Cipro. You might read about Cipro and it’s documented effect on tendons. In 2018, I was in the hospital overnight after having my completely severed radial artery reattached and sewn back. I was prescribed anti-biotiics(not Cipro) for the next 7-10 days. For the next 8 months I had abdominal pain, nausea and 24-7 diarrhea. Not a single doctor during that period surmised that it may have been the result of anti-biotics on the system, one doctor even had the balls to infer that it was all in my head and asked if I would like the number of a shrink.

After the 8 months I took it upon myself to start taking a pro-biotic every day. Within weeks the diarrhea disappeared, the abdominal pain disappeared and I have not had the nausea that was present every day prior. Now, 3 years later, I still have had none of those symptoms since.
I take 1 probiotic tablet and 2 tablespoons of psyllium husk in water daily.
I am going to ditch the probiotic tablet and order all of the paraphernalia and ingredients to make Kefir water to replace the probiotic pill. Kefir water is an easily made fermented drink, similar to Kombucha, but tastes more like a lightly flavored soda than the vinegary flavor of Kombucha.

This is not meant as advice, just an anecdotal synopsis of my experience.
It was a paradigm shift in my life. Not sure if the link below takes you directly to the Kefir water page or not. Just search site for the recipe.

My daughter has dealt with similar issues her whole life. Take the meds with Aloe juice. Mix the aloe juice with regular juice because it doesn't taste great, but the aloe juice soothes ulcers and inflammed gastro lining, especially feeling good when you have to take the antibiotics or prednisone. She also finds that when things get inflamed (it's called a "flare" for her), she goes on an all-liquid diet for three days. Ensure is her best friend. And, for her, she has to avoid vegetables and fruits with long fibers which can ball up and cause an obstruction.

Totally agree. Kefir all the way! And she eats anti-inflammatory foods as much as she can e.g. onions, garlic, apple, berries, bananas (she can't have foods with long fibers). There's an anti-inflammatory diet book out there or online.

Supplement. We've told they were useless over and over, but the fact is they work. Oregano oil for instance works as a natural antibiotic that freed me of both urinary and bowel issues. Many more things. I take about a dozen different supplements and it has done much better than standard prescribed medication. Diet is important, but it is very personal. You know to some degree what works for you.

I was in the hospital with Diverticulitis and after that episode my Colitis kick into super high gear. It is hell. Every time I pooped, it would be undigested food. I could see ever bite of every piece of food I had eaten. This went on for a very long time (months). I couldn't walk into a grocery store without the smell of prepared food would send my stomach into spasms and I'd have to run to their bathroom.

Things have settled down quite a bit, but I can tell you what send me personally into a frenzy of stomach cramps and diahrrea...peppers, greasy food, eating out at restaurants.

Once your condition settles down a bit, take note of your "triggers" and avoid them at all costs. Peppers has been the hardest thing to alleviate and sometimes I just eat them anyway. I can always count on a very painful night in the bathroom.

I have had 4 kids and I can tell you the spasms (contractions) I get from these episode come very close to labor pains.
