Back in the 80's I worked in an area of Dallas that was just as bad then. I saw shootings, stabbings drug deals and shoplifters. One of those derelicts even tried to hold me up when I was taking our deposit to the bank in broad daylight. I had to pull my Bowie knife on him to get him to back off and then he starts screaming about me doing that.

If you are anyone other than one of them in that area you have to be prepared for the worst.

His nice guy act might be good because he’s not an unlikeable dude. If he was a bulldog, it could be interpreted as distasteful. I dunno though. If I was Chauvin I’d be disappointed in his performance because he’s a little timid.

Why do so many of you keep saying the line that Chauvin's knee was on his neck. The only piece of evidence of that was the video, which from an alternate perspective shows the knee on the base/right shoulder NOT the neck. Moreover, there were 0 signs of any abrasion to the neck/back per the M.E which I think one would assume would be there if there was enough pressure to asphyxiate him. For piss sakes! Have any of you even been under a knee to determine if such a thing is even possible??! I have doing BJJ and I can tell you its uncomfortable, but WILL NOT suffocate you. Lets see someone provide evidence of this possibility before you sling around these kinds of statements.
