Chrome users check this now! is your browser being "managed" by an outside organization!

This message may be caused by legitimate software. As of April 3, 2019, it seems quite a few people are seeing the message due to software on their systems. Of course, it’s also possible that malware on your system could be modifying Chrome’s browser settings. There’s no need to panic, but Google is showing you this message so you’re aware that something is going on and can look into it.

You can find some more information at chrome://management —just type that address into Chrome’s location bar.

If this page says Chrome isn’t managed by an administrator on this page even while Chrome says it’s managed elsewhere in Chrome’s interface, that suggests you have software managing one or more of Chrome’s settings via policy.

Chrome should not be your primary browser, neither Firefox. I believe Opera is more open, but definitely Brave and you can also check out Waterfox. Haven't heard of ddg browser

My PC crashed today in the middle of operation and went to a windows blue screen.. Then it failed to reboot. i had to power it off an on again.. infact its crasehd about 3 times now recently.. this never used to happen ever..

I have immediately stopped using chrome. Ran a malwarebytes scan it found a pup called clevercore...

It says

does this mean they could have all my passwords and get into my crypto accounts and email?

Mine's been like that for a long time and it's been pretty nightmarish at times.

This is something you should do anyway.
Google Chrome is spyware.

I'm a systems engineer.

That just means that your computer is either joined to a domain or once was and the administrators of that domain (i.e your school or company computer dept) are using Group Policy to manage certain settings in Chrome. Things like home page, security settings, proxy settings, forced bookmarks/favorites, etc.

Even if you are using a local administrator account on the PC. If it is or ever was joined to a domain, it is likely managed by group policy.

im dubious. This PC is just my personal PC in my room, always has been. maybe i tried to setup a network to share some stuff to a laptop before but thats all i know. its all over my head.

Open a command prompt and type in --> systeminfo

It will take a min to run, but once all the info is returned scroll to the top and look at the details for these values: (look at organization info and domain info in particular)

I use Dissenter so I don't think I'll be switching to Adreno-Chrome browser anytime shoon.

I just checked - same message on Brave as well...

I've switched to firefox and brave...I don't want these multinationals in my life to the degree the masses let them in...

I know. Why do they have to be so blatantly totalitarian.

Unfortunately, Chrome is the only browser that works halfway good.

BRAVE browser works faster & better than google, without the spy & bloatware.

Much better search results than google.

I use Brave and mine says this also.

I found this so it's not necessarily bad.

"If antivirus and other third-party software have set an enterprise policy for Chrome browser, then you will get the message that your browser is being managed by your organization. This is to ensure that you’re aware that Chrome’s behavior is being modified"

Agreed, why are you using Chrome?

The problem you are worried about is pretty standard and no big deal, no matter what you do to fix this, and even if you do fix it.... Google are tracing what you do online.

That happened tome in 2010 I don’t know who the organisation is. I didn’t have permission to change anything on my own laptop. At the time I felt like I was being gang stalked.

Does anyone anywhere think anything you have on your computer is safe? If so, you’ve missed the last decade or so. All the browser options are compromised; from Tor, Brave, and on down the line. Look into the relationships that Google, Microsoft, Duck Duck Go, et al have with each other, to share search algorithms, results, queries, etc. They are all owned outright, or have compromised relationships for backdoor infiltration by all the premier data gatherers, be they foreign or domestic, from a Israeli war houses to Langley office buildings. Safe and secure are merely buzzwords for suckers. If you’re not spending hundreds of millions or more on security each year, you’re kidding yourself; and if you are, then you are a very prized target.

All these anti chrome people crack me up. They all use chromium browsers for fuck sake. Yeah, google does gather more infor from it's users but they are all still chromium browsers. Let them see me, let them find me, track me. When you become old you give a lot less fucks. Your being spied on no matter what fuckin browser you choose and that's a fact.

Did you bother to click on Learn more?

In other words, YOU HAVE ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL of Chrome you 1D10T. However, if you install anti-malware software or add extensions such as AdBlock, then you are giving them access to control some of Chrome's settings.
