Quoting: JAZZz50 for so few ppl compared to the total world population,we have had the extremes. long haulers, family who died, sick from vaccines, recurring covid, etc. and those are off the top of my head. i think i heard someone had covid twice too a ways back. This! TB, I feel ya... I just want to get past the 20th... I'm just going day to day anymore. I have nowhere to go, can't see the people I want to see, really nothing to look forward to. Last year, I really thought we'd be back to normal by now. Silly me. Sorry. Now, I'm bummed out. Much love. I was hoping we would at least be through the worst so we could get to work. Both sides.... minked. I think that's most people's problem. I think we all had too much faith in the science community. I truly wonder if anyone is on our side. |

Might want to add some different things to our preps quickly. We've all prepped for the virus and shortages, but I know we don't have things like painter plastic and enough tape to seal off a safe room. We don't have a basement. I try to NOT be a nervous nellie. My family thinks I overreact to things like this, but I feel like I still have a bit of control if I've thought out and prepped for the possibilities. I don't panic, but I don't ignore, either. It's hard being the only prepper in the family. |

We aren't very far from Davis-Besse, a nuclear power plant. It's an old one. They built it when I was in high school in the 70's. Darn thing has been down more than up over the years. If things go hot, I'm not sure we'd make it. DB used to be on the hit list. I don't know about now. Wright-Patterson almost has to be. I think the first targets would be DC and somewhere on the west coast. I'm going to get some of the heavy plastic that you put down when you paint and a bunch of tape. Hopefully, there hasn't been a shortage of that. I still remember some of the stuff I learned living in Europe during the Gulf War. I'm going to look up some videos this weekend to make sure I haven't overlooked something. I'm not too sure I want to live after that, either. I said years ago, when I lived even closer to DB than I do now, that I would take the kids and sit on the back step to watch the fireworks. I still kind of feel that way. |

Quoting: CleverCreator At minimum, call 911... you can ask them to triage her..... that’s better than waiting. I know that none of us like hospitals right now.... but those symptoms are not wait it out symptoms. My wife is having a very strange condition. She is experiencing extreme vertigo and is dry heaving. She cannot walk to the toilet without aid. She had the Moderna jab 1 about a week ago. Any ideas? All I have is drink as much water as she can, even if she throws up 10 minutes later. I am worried. Quoting: Lago You need to make her take in electrolytes, and go to an urgent care or doctor in the morning. Go buy some Gatorade or pedialite if you don't have any. Done. Should arrive in two hours. Petrified of commercial building recirculated air in hospitals. We both have a fear of hospitals, relatives go in but they don't come out + Covid now. She woke up this morning, the vertigo is gone. A 12x12x12 bucket was half full and she drank 3 bottles of Gatorade. Thanks again RW for that recommendation--(Gatorade or similar should be added to preps!). Her oxygen level was 97% this morning. She cancelled her beloved weekly massage as her stomach was queasy but her colour is back and she ate a little bit of dry toast which, so far, has stayed down. Thanks for all the help last night everybody, I got a little bit panicky with this fucking virus so prevalent in LA. Lago |
