It kind of never fails. When my 2 oldest were little, they got chicken pox from a kid in daycare. My weekend babysitter couldn't take them as she had a couple of littles that hadn't had them yet. I finally found the wife of one of the workers and of course, both kids couldn't possibly have it at the same time. It was one of the longest 2 months ever.

On an odd note, I came on to see if anyone else's area is too quiet for the holiday. We have a very few fireworks going on around us, but nothing compared to the past and NO traffic here, either.

We went to the store on the main drag and traffic was too quiet there for a weekend, too. Don't know where everyone went for the weekend, but they don't seem to be here. Almost creepy, but maybe they'll make up for it tomorrow!?!

I heard almost no fireworks this weekend, usually New Hampshire sounds like the storming of Normandy a few days on either side of 4th of July once the sun goes down.

Not even the usual 10pm mag dumps from my extra-rednecky neighbors down the road.

the amount of warnings all over the US bout losing power due to AC 's is concerning. the supply issues have already had impacts on city services. i worry what will happen this winter when ppl turn heat on. most heat systems use some electric.

we're in a downward spiral and nobody in charge is trying to solve any problems before they get worse.

Another who got it before me seems to have gotten past it within 72 hours.

My oldest grand called me last night. My daughter and the kids all have it now, too. They've avoided it until now.

TB, I had a dream about you! I was in a church where a bus was stuck inside because all the tires needed to be replaced. I was fretting not knowing how I was going to remove this bus without new tires. I could not locate any at all. Then you and your son walked in and replaced all the tires and wouldn't take any pay. You quickly left afterward.

I couldn't figure out 1. How you knew I needed bus tires 2. How you knew where I was at 3. Why you and your son would drive all that way to replace tires for me!

Two or three of Raffette's family members also have it now. All of us have been careful and stayed current on shots and boosters. This current strain is just waltzing through everything like it doesn't care.

We haven't reported our infections to our doctors, so it occurred to me that our infections won't be counted in the statistics. If other people are doing the same thing we are, testing positive at home and just taking care of themselves at home, then the current stats are worthless.
