Inflation is a tax because if you are paying more money for goods because of government mandates, it is the same as an increase tax on income. This will directly affect middle and lower class as they commute farther then wealthy people, who really don't care what it costs them anyway.

They are telling you to use an electric car but then can’t tax you so they have to make up a new tax. Electric cars are only viable now because they get a huge handout from taxpayers.
