Okay. So you're saying they tried to spin some tale that this person came here with the disease and got immediate treatment, but what really happened is that he spread it around, as would be the normal case.

Not everyone with a sniff, a cold, a earache, runny nose, mild flu or mild chest congestion is going to go to ED and get a test for this. That is a big big issue - the spread cannot be stopped....

best bet is to self isolate , if you're going to die of a virus the AMA croakers aren't going to help you anyway. If I am sick I will tell people to stay away from me, as in out of my house.

Then the most sensible and disease reduction of spread solution is to produce in home test kits. They did it with bowl cancer tests here in Aussie.

My daughter cut her hand while at work today and i had to take her to the ER. When being screened, the nurse asked if we, or anyone we knew has been to China recently. I chuckled and said "Coronavirus?" and she said something about them starting to do something with triage in the term (not sure and dont recall), and walked away.

Not joking, 80% of the people in there had on face masks, and all doctors did.

Why have there been no out breaks anywhere else?

Just heard from my wife that one of her friend’s coworkers checked out early with the flu on Friday, and apparently died today. No mention of this virus yet, but very disturbing nonetheless. We are in Tennessee.

And there is not enough medical facilities to test the many who have colds.

They're going to be looking at complications, not normal symptoms.

At its core, the virus from Wuhan is similar to the ones that cause the common cold. So reactions to it will vary from possibly mild to severe.

Even before "Coronavirus" entered everyone's vocabulary (and most germs that cause a cold are Coronaviruses), I recall getting knocked over by microbes that caused such a severe reaction, I wondered where the hell they came from.

I get it, and it is always smart to take precautions regardless of what’s going on or when; however, I find it very alarming to hear of this person’s passing in light of the current situation. I know nothing of the individual though, and they might well have had other medical issues, so will withhold freaking out until we learn more. Nonetheless, this definitely makes me much more concerned that there’s more here than being reported.
