Why auto-shotgun is good for home defense.

Ban all shotguns. They are weapons of war. In fact revolvers were used in war so ban them too.

shoot the spit wad by blowing through the straw.

best place to do this is in an opera.

if u can aim for old ladies hairdos, the spit wads will stick into their hair.

I like to buy bird shot shells and then I take all the shot out of them . And then I put weird stuff in them . Ive made dry roasted peanut shells , frozen vienna sausage shells , exactly blade shells , paperclip shells , confetti shells .

I even penetrate 1/4 plywood with ciggarette butt shells lol

A Pump shotgun is a better choice for home defense.

The cops always use to break up bar fights in my town by going to the bar's door and racking a round into the chamber.
Nothing stops a bar fight quicker, than the sound of racking a pump shotgun.
Everybody knows that sound and it makes them stop and think.

I think the same thing will apply to most common thieves and intruders.
If they run away and you do not have to shoot them, so you save yourself a lot of legal grief.

The problem with any semi auto shotgun is that the air return tube must be in tune and well tested with whatever type of shell you will be using, in other words, semi auto shotguns aren’t generally reliable across wide variety of shells.

Better if the barrel is not full length for better maneuverability in confined spaces. Pistol in the waistband for backup. If there are multiple intruders, an AR-15 with a 30-round magazine would be preferred.

A shotgun is an excellent choice for home defense, as it lessens the possibility of a high velocity bullet going through walls and killing the next door neighbor. I used a 12 gauge pump in a combat situation, alternate loads of buckshot and slugs. The pump is sufficient for repelling a home invasion in most cases, with a pistol backup once your 5 shells are gone.

nah , semi auto 12ga have a recoil system with bolt spring and the spring takes most of the beating with minimal amout of felt recoil to the shoulder pad . I mean after 30 or 40 rds youll get sore but 80% self defense scenarios are resolved in 2 rounds or less.


Semi auto would be fine for a lady . Pump gun not so much .

If you want a truly dangerous round, slice the top ring off of the top of the plastic. Pour out the shot and melt some wax and put the shot in the wax. Pour that wax back into to the shell, and you know have a round of birdshot that stays in one very small shot pattern until it makes contact and then they separate. You could also try flechettes .

With a regular pump shotgun, I would alternate rounds between slug and shot. With the KSG you have two tubes, and a switch to select which magazine is used. If you get the smaller police sized rounds you can pack 26 of them into the magazines.

I like shotguns,myself,they spread when shot,harder to miss the target,when in a place of high anxiety

And they will do the job....plus a shotgun is a heavy gun after you shoot them,you can bunt their face in....for extra protection ...of course ..

That's why you don't give them a lightweight handgun. There is not enough weight to reduce recoil. A heavier Glock or 1911 would be a better choice. I've taught my wife how to handle all of my weapons in case she ever has a need to use them. I wouldn't want to be downrange from her if she was aiming for me, that's for damn sure. And she does better with heavier handguns than smaller ones.
