I hear you. I try to act like I don't want the answers and even try to convince myself that I don't, but I have peaked underneath the wrapping of the xmas presents a few times in the past. I do remember some regret from those experiences.

Excellent thoughts OP and good questions. My opinion means squat and is probably wrong most of the time but I think the path you are currently traveling is not a bad one. You would know if it was.

Have you actually experienced anything to which you could swear to with all your true being that gives any credibility to the nonsense?

God wants who he wants? So he just created some of us to throw away for the good of his grand story?

God's sovereignty is a beautiful and terrible thing to ponder.

Consider this...God is life and all life comes from him. It is God and God alone that gives life and takes it away. How is it that he does wrong if he creates something to be destroyed? He ultimately determines worth and value...those that he invests worth into will see that the only difference between themselves and those that he does not invest worth into is God himself.

Most people have an elevated sense of the worth of humans and a completely inadequate sense of the worth of God.

All of the beliefs which you just cited are assumptions which you chose to live by with no credible evidence of your view being a likely reality.

The levels to which one must delude themselves to believe there is a Sky wizard watching over their every move.

Never mind that the actions, supposed words, and explanations for this imaginary gods doings would be viewed as that of a mad man by any typical standard investigation of the fleeing evidence.

The Jew god, by his own admission , is jealous, vengeful, racist, and on whims, decides to tell the maniacs who follow him to kill and slaughter in his name...

Add to that the story of his super hero son!

Who with zero proof and evidence has people sitting on their hands waiting for him to return for over 2000 years while the world is raped and pillaged by the very people you claim to stand against and call of Satan your enemy...

If you guys really believed in the Jew god and Jesus's like so many claim then they would have a sense of urgency for the supposed kingdom of god is near and Jesus is coming back right?

Don't defend...engage. I responded to something insightful you posted. Suspend your disbelief for a moment if you can and think through what I posted to see if you can see God from a perspective other than your own.

I once viewed thing from a Christian perspective as well until I allowed myself to ask every question of what I thought be true.

The Jew god, once again from his admission, only wanted to let a certain group of people into his reward theme park called heaven.

That's until His super hero son arrived and opened admission to everyone who could throw logic and critical thinking out the window.

What of all those people the Jew god supposedly created to just throw away? The ones who never got a chance to go to Heaven because the Jew god only wanted his people in his heaven at one point?

Your understanding of the truth is incorrect.

I'll keep it short with bullet points:
Heaven is not the reward, God is the reward. Anyone who is interested in Heaven but not God is hoping for something that doesn't exist.
Jesus doesn't allow anyone...only those his Father gives him.
I should be one of the ones destroyed. I completely deserve destruction. There is nothing I will do in my whole life that will put God in my debt. It is only be his grace...his mercy that I am chosen to be receive eternal life instead of eternal death.
Eternal conscious torment is a lie...it is not true...and it is completely out of alignment with the character of God and scripture does not support that view.




If you are going to hate God....reject God...reject the truth about him and not some strawman version that isn't true. As for me...I'm praying for you. It is God who bring this change about in people...I hope that he will call you as his own.

It's not that I doubt that there is a creator...

I'm just sure it's not the vengeful Jew god of the Bible...

The issue I raised earlier in the thread is that people believe in these gods or the Jew god without any proof.

What proof do you have that the Jew god is real and your creator other than the programming you tell yourself?

Jesus was an actual person that performed miracles in the Roman province of Judea.
He was executed by crucifixion by the Romans.
He rose from the dead and appeared to his disciples.
The disciples created trustworthy accounts of his life and were filled with the Holy Spirit to share his gospel.
The accuracy and power of their accounts stood up against persecution that would have destroyed a false account.
Jesus is God who lived as man and laid down his life as a sacrifice for me. He took my sin...and gave me his righteousness. I'll never be able to repay him for what he did but I will spend my life loving and cherishing him as my greatest treasure.

This is the gospel of Jesus Christ...you have heard this before yes?

The only moments of real clarity and peace which I have experienced have been moments of love.

Not love in the romantic sense, love in the childlike sense, like how you felt about your mother as a child.

True moments of bliss to be found in the most peculiar places...

Perhaps in singing a song, or giving someone a present, that moment you get goose bumps, that feeling of electricity which runs All thru your body...

That feeling that defies words, which seems to slow time...

If those moments are the "it" moments for me in my experience...

Then perhaps the only thing worth doing is providing those moments for others?

Imagine if that was your focus all the time...

Now that is one of the beauties of this existence I love the most :)

I have also experienced that electricity, where it seems like you are tied directly into a huge spiritual stream of pure bliss. But damn, the tears of happiness are hard to hide in those situations. Kind of embarrassing.

Would you really call it love even if it is a love of life?
