Ya know...I knew that was going to be what you took away from it.....

no...and yet...yes....

I don't care...I am being free and I am over here making money and contributing and helping to press us forward into space and out=r next planet.

if someone is so stupid to eat crappy food and get sick...well....then the world is better off with one less stupid person breeding
 Quoting: Manosteel

So it's okay for a stupid person to get sick or die from eating the hotdog - ahhh, now that makes sense. How about we just make some rules for the hotdog stand so everyone can eat safely whether they have high IQ's or low ones.
 Quoting: BeenAround®

err....you are a troll..you know exactly what I mean but you are dredging up the lowest common denominator....typical troll angle

Look man...I do not want to hurt anyone...but I expect people to be personally aware and responsible....if you are stupid enough to eat meat on a stick that has been in the sun all day...you get what you deserve
 Quoting: Manosteel

No. I'm not a troll. I am simply pointing out how foolish Libertarians are in their arguments. They can't ever accept or admit that some government regulations are actually good. Not only do they develop a mental block against the actual functioning of huge portions of our society, but this block then often turns into raving denial when anyone else says something outside their blinders such as calling someone a troll. If you really think about it, Libertarianism is more of a fantasy than a political philosophy.
 Quoting: BeenAround®

You are correct, we do have to have regulation or some companies would gleefully dump toxins in the nearest playground....we get that.

Where this all falls apart is where the state is supposed to stop and the human is supposed to step in.....you know this.

I don't want companies dumping mercury based products in the local playground and neither do you.....

we have to have some level of regulation....

but what we have is a level of regulation that continues to dig on as a reason to justify it's existence and dredge up more funds.....

They need to find more fault or their budget wanes....we all know this.

The current EPA is a monster tat needs a master....they will yield to the people or they will be made obsolete...it's just that god damned simple

So if the hot dog stand sold food that made you or your family sick or worse caused death you would care but if it was someone other than you or a family member you wouldn't care and are okay with it? That's the problem with all Libertarians of any kind - they make no sense.
 Quoting: Deplorable Canadian

And for the Record, I view libertarians in this election as moronic Hitlary supporters.

A vote for Gary the Establish-whore = a Vote for Hitlary.

Regulations are self-serving.

"Government expands whenever and wherever it can"

What most don't know

Regulations are often lobbied for by big business to keep small business out.

Its so easy I feel like I don't have to give you endless examples.

Re: A View From The Libertarian Side...
While I supported Cruz in the Primary, and voted for Gary Johnson in the General (in Texas where I have the luxury of throwing my vote away if I so choose), I must say the enthusiasm and general positive feeling I'm seeing everywhere around Trump is contagious, and even heart warming.

I haven't seen people this positive about America's future since Ronald Reagan, and I'm caught up in that enthusiasm.

Will Trump be everything people think he will be? I see so many different ideas about how he'll actually govern that frankly I don't see how he could be everything to everyone, but judging from his recent statements, and cabinet picks I am very relieved that he doesn't seem to be playing out my worst fears which were that he would revert back to his Manhattan roots and move left when it came time to actually govern our great Nation. I've never been so glad to be wrong about something in my entire life.

In this holiday season I pray for Donald Trump and his Administration. They say America is divided, but we the American people have decisively handed the keys over to the Republicans in all branches of Government in a way that hasn't happened in four generations, now it's time to see if the GOP can actually Govern instead of obstruct, and in all honesty as far as a "Go-Getter" who can hopefully change the gears of the Grand Old Party from neutral to drive, you couldn't ask for a more enthusiastic and energetic person than Donald Trump for this job.

I don't care who you voted for at this point, Donald Trump is my President, and he is your President, and I pray for his success and the success of our Nation on a daily basis.

Perhaps Donald Trump is a man of destiny, perhaps this swing to the right in the political opinions of American's will be enough to pull us back from the edge of the cliff, regardless it is a heartening attempt, and it's nice to know that majority of American people are rejecting the neo-liberal ideas globalism and multiculturalism.

My country feels like home again.

God Bless Donald Trump, and God Bless the U.S.A...

Another positive note, Thank God Hillary got beat and we won't have to worry about that thunder-cunt ever running again...

 Quoting: Saddletramp

I don't see how you could say that knowing you voted for Johnson.

Anyway if you really don't like Shillary then I got some bad news.

It's not over yet and Shillary is still trying to steal the election.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35176657

She ain't got a chance, just another scam to pocket more donated funds...
 Quoting: Saddletramp

She does have a chance.

She doesn't need to flip those states she just needs to delay them long enough to where they can't certify their vote by Dec 13 in which case those states electors wont get to vote.

If those states are delayed long enough and don't get to cast their electoral votes then you only need 246 instead of 270 to win.

It would would be 260 to 232 then Shillary would need 15 faithless electors and she already has 7.

Currently if she delayed those states long enough the count would be 253 Trump 239 Shillary.

If she managed to flip 8 more then it would be Trump 245 Shillary 247.

She is still trying to steal the election who knows if she will pull it off or not.

Some clues that this is what she is attempting is how they waited a couple weeks before calling for a recount and she is trying to force hand counts which are far slower.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35176657

It would be really stupid to attempt something like that considering it would end in a civil war.

He can't grow it. There's no way he can accomplish his main promises by doing that. I do like Trump's approach that he's going to scale it down through attrition. 31% of all federal employees will be eligible to retire in 2017. He's not hiring replacements or at the least a smaller amount of replacements. We will see a major reduction as early as the end of next year.

I missed out on all of the initial drama, as during the campaign I just skipped past all of the Cruz threads, as I was more interested in weird shit.

Saddletramp has posted what I believe to be a sincere acknowledgement of his hope for the betterment of America, and I think that it is time for us all to take Rodney King's advice: Can't we all just get along?

If I'm wrong, I apologize. That being said, my favorite President ever is Ronald Reagan. Reagan was once a democRAT that realized his previous party was full of shit and evolved to become the greatest President of my lifetime. Many detractors like to point out that President-elect Trump was once a democRAT. Guess what? He grew and learned; I honestly believe that he is the man to take on the mantle of Ronald Reagan's vision.

Give Saddletramp a break; every person has the capability to evolve and become better.
