What do you Americans really think it's like here in Britain?

Yes they are clueless and dumb people. I was in New York for a weekend getaway once and was told by an American that I spoke good English.

I imagine its like here in the US...all the foreign invaders being brought in by your treasonous leaders filling up the main cities and taking all the jobs while your citizens continually move to rural areas to escape the insanity and corruption...but I bet more british citizens leave the nation more when they decide flee

Once again, you only know of London and not the British mainland in general. Google beautiful landscapes UK, and you will see otherwise. There are many jaw dropping places over here, and the shithole that is London sure isn't one of them.

As an American, I think we have a lot more variety in things we can buy. I'm not saying this is a good thing or a bad thing, just an observation. For instance, a Briton would be overwhelmed in the typical American supermarket or shopping mall. I'm not even sure you call them supermarkets. Big grocery stores. A place to buy food for the household.

The British often forget that their four constituent countries are comparable in size to like 4 out of 50 states. Los Angeles to New York is about 3,000 miles, and it's all the USA. If you're in London and you travel 3,000 miles east, you'd have passed Moscow. I think the British often fail to grasp this concept when contemplating what the US is. It's continental in size.

I also don't understand the reverence for a monarchy. Or even a need for a monarchy anymore other than posterity and some sense of former greatness, though keeping it seems a little sad in my opinion.

From what I see on google maps, the road system in cities looks odd to an American eye. Not just driving on the left, but the crosswalks and those zig-zag lines. Now, while it's true London is a very old city, it's like American cities in that most of its development happened in the 1800s with the Industrial Revolution. London and other British cities evolved a little differently from American cities at this time. Not saying it's bad, just different. American cities tend to follow traditional grid patterns, whereas the roads in British cities seem to be all over the place. Again, I'm not talking about ancient roads, but roads built from the 1800s to the present day.

In the countryside, the roads look quaint, but they're all so narrow and poorly marked. Also, Britain doesn't seem to have a comprehensive highway system comparable to the USA. There are some expressways, but no limited-access roads going continuously for hundreds of miles. In fairness, I know Canada, as big as it is, doesn't even have ONE trans-Canadian highway that comparable to an American Interstate (limited access for thousands of miles, minimum of two lanes in each direction, no traffic lights, etc.). Most of the cars driven in Britain seem small and strange looking to an American eye, and the license plates are very nondescript.

9/10 of us can't afford to flee anywhere. Every year passes 10's of thousands move in and overcrowd even more.

They get priority for Schools, Doctors, Housing, Benefits. How much longer it can go on before braking point can't be far off.

I am disabled so I am entitled to every penny I receive and can spend on what I wish. I worked for over 20 years as a solicitor and civil servant and paid my dues.

LOL I dont drink alcohol because of all my meds. And my meds are the only reason why I can type. No one will employ me as I am constantly falling over because my meds make ne dizzy and confused and on bad days I cant even walk at all.
