Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7423823 every politician is against the average Joe. that's just the way that things are. You are straight up FULL OF SHIT, the Democraps are the ONLY party in this state responsible for A). Stealing our water B). Raising our taxes C). Creating laws that hurt our children. In California, the Republicans ALL fight this crap and do NOT create it. Try again fool!!! :this^^^: and :this^^^: |

State politicians are also building a secret pipeline from Chico area to send more of our water to LA. I don't know much about it, it's a secret. Anyone in north state (chico/redding) know about this? Last Edited by Mkguyver on 02/03/2014 02:13 PM |

I think it's about the extreme drought not a fish. Sierra snowpack is WAY down. California will be rationing water house to house soon. I wouldn't worry about farmers, we may be well past that point for the near term. |

Sorry - I know you will try to fillet me (no pun intended), but I have to side with the fish. Water is scarce out there - especially in this drought. That's a chance you take when farming. Why does their right to farm take precedence over a species right to live? We've destroyed enough of our environment due to the progress of manufacturing and farming. Sometimes you have to put your foot down. |

Just let it be...don't respond to it...maybe it will go away I grew up on a farm. I've lived most of my adult life on a ranch. It's not just California. Farmers and large cities are emptying rivers, aquifers, and lakes at an alarming rate. So, it's better to let the farmers take it all and dry up large swaths of land and then nobody can live there? Much of the western portion of the US will be screwed in the decades to come if we don't do something about this issue. |

I would imagine it's not the fish but all the animals that feed on the fish, and so on. this sounds fishy, though. It's all diverted out into San Franscisco Bay and all that fresh water is wasted? sounds like the doing of crazy fags to me, they love to flaunt their power in the face of pesant peons. |

That water goes to the mega "farms" of Corporate Society, the monsters among us, who ship their product out of our nation.- and all the best top quality goes over seas, and the garbage and contaminated stuff goes to us, and probably Mexico. |

Didn't a republican win a district out in the valley that used to be a democratic stronghold recently? Quoting: AlcoholicRunner Not sure, I am in the north valley....not the central valley. We are a conservative area...with little to no influence on the States politics...thanks to L.A and San Fran Found it. [link to www.breitbart.com] A Republican in California won a state Senate seat on Wednesday in a District in which Democrats have a 22-point advantage and that is 60% Hispanic. Andy Vidak, the Republican farmer, won the special election runoff for the 16th District Senate seat when his opponent, Democrat Leticia Perez, a Kern County Supervisor, conceded on Wednesday, a day after voters cast their ballots. Vidak had 54% of the vote to Perez's 46%. |
