Eating meat may be nice for the physical body but it is killing your spirit.

Even if you're raising your own animals and treating them with the utmost respect until the day you kill them, that animal experienced some sort of fear/pain/trauma from the fact that something that cared for it is not slaughtering it for it's body.

yes plants are alive too and if you were to disrespect a plant before consuming it, you would experience that as well, though the degree of pain/trauma would be less.

blessing your food helps but that pain is stored deep inside the tissue of what you eat.

sure your body may be healthy, but your soul is weakened when you consume another animal.

so a nice balance would be to find where your body is happy and healthy and your soul is lifted instead of weighed down by what it consumes.

when I ate meat, I never ate a burger that was happy about being eaten.. but i do get that sensation from eating spinach and carrots after I have thanked them.
