I was born in 1965 and have seen these trails through my entire life in the Boston area. There are just more of them now. But, persistent contrails ave been around for over 80 years.

Don't forget the APU..it's another engine. Also. I find that to be nothing but anecdotal bullshit. But, it could be what's known as an aerodynamic contrail you are seeing..again, google it.

First of all, googling things doesn't equate to correct information. In fact if you google "chemtrail" you'll even get GLP links! What would be most helpful for your case against chemtrails is posting actual scientific studies relating to this phenomenon. The problem is, that since the GOV denies their existence, there's nothing to study, hence no reports. This is why it's a conspiracy theory. Note the word theory here.

Acid rain levels have actually DECREASED in the U.S. over the past 30 years substantially. That's a phenomena we actually know quite a bit about. Quite a few lakes in Pennsylvania will probably be contaminated for many generations to come. Apples and oranges here.

As to the aerodynamic contrails and hydrocarbon combustion, some of that is indeed correct. However, over time (you can see it in real time), you'll notice that the diffusion takes on a silvery/gold color that is inconsistent with WHITE contrails. Also, aren't newer engines (if that's really the case) MORE EFFICIENT? That would mean less hydrocarbon exhaust, right? Again, most airplanes in service today are the same ones they've been using for the past 20 years. Airlines are not going to change our engines unless they are DOA. Too much cost to justify replacement for the sake of efficiency.

How do you explain a commerical jet that actually makes crosshatched patterns in the air ON PURPOSE? 100 miles long? Are these confused pilots or are they out for LULZ? I've seen this with my own eyes. How do you explain the fact that they start and stop at seemingly random places. For example, many have seen the contrail/chemtrail suddenly STOP and then START again?

Finally, when a person shoots a video from the window of a plane showing chemicals spewing out of an airplane, why do you call them chemtards and stupid? All they are doing is witnessing an event and reporting it. You can decide what it is you are seeing.

They HAVE increased in frequency. But jet traffic has also increased. Along with that increase is an increase in the average height they fly (higher flight usually means a greater chance of contrails). They also have newer engines that put out more thrust and burn cleaner (more water in the exhaust).

I'm just a casual observer that questions everything.

There is plenty of information about atmospheric science and persistent contrails.....in books.

Acid rain levels have decreased, but it's still happening, and these elements are still being leached from soil. The ions are still spreading in the oil, air and ground water...and he ions have been there since time began. There is no evidence that the levels have "increased" because of anything to do with the trails. Also, there are plenty of industrial and commercial uses for these elements. To blame them on the trails, is stupid. There is no evidence if any correlation.

Persistent contrails have been around for 80 plus years. Airlines ADD planes with efficient engines. They don't necessarily replace the older planes. Both types of planes are still in the air. The ones with more efficient engines will produce persistent contrails where the planes with older engines at not.

The patterns are just air routes within the proper conditions for persistent contrails.

To suggest that flight paths don't intersect, is stupid. The start-stop trails are the airplanes flying through drier or warmer patches of air. Nothing more...what do you assume? Pilots playing with the switch? Clogged nozzle?

Perhaps one of the ways to distinguish contrail from chemtrail,is if both appear in the same sky from different planes simultaneously, at more or less the same altitude, although that maybe difficult to judge from the ground.(planes more or less the same size from the ground?)
Also, if these trails manifest oily-filmlike colours when the Sun shines through them, then these trails are probably contaminated at least with fuel-exhaust, adding to atmospheric pollution. And if one planes' trails suddenly changes from innocent contrails to more persistent trails as shown in some youtubeclips, that would be cause for suspicion I guess. Simple comment on never-ending con/chemtrail debate, who's next ?

The colors are normal...in fact, are evidence if some retry clean ice crystals, which light refracts/reflects through.

Of course it's pollution...but, even the ones not leaving trails, are polluting.

I want to investigate this on my own. On very hot days it seems like those suckers should dissipate, but they linger forever. Could be that the air way up high is cold though...

How come the water vapor from the supposed frozen contrails doesn't disappear yet the condensation from breath on a cold day does? That isn't logical. Why doesn't my breath trail behind my on a zero degree day for miles?

What are the black beams/Black strips for? I've seen them .

1) Plane sizes have increased dramatically. Wouldn't that allow for less traffic?

The are all contrails.

Sometimes contrails are ephemeral and dissipate as quickly as they form; other times, depending on atmospheric conditions, contrails persist and grow wide enough to cover a substantial portion of the sky with a sheet of cirrostratus.

To make this concept simple for you, and not confuse you with the more complex physics of SUBLIMATION, because most people who believe in chemtrails have no understanding of physics. Contrails either dissipate or last depending on mainly two main conditions at fight levels (there are more, but like I said, I will keep it simple). Temperature, and Moisture content of the atomosphere. Contrails are made of ice crystals, much like snow flakes. Why do some snow flakes melt, and some stick around? Temperature and moisture content at ground level. The SAME SCIENCE. Basically if the air at flight levels is dryer or warmer, the contrails will dissappear quickly. If the air is very cold and supersaturated with moisture, the contrails will remain and form clouds. And then you have the conditions everywhere in between.

Now, when you learn how these conditions work, you will understand why you see more long lasting persistent contrails in front of weather systems. The uneducated will say "Chemtrails caused storms". Those with a basic understanding of Meteorology know the storm system created the conditions for persistent contrails out in front of the system.vv
Now for some basic science of Meteorology for the chemtrail believers. When a cold front or storm system is moving in, its cold dry air, that system is like a giant bulldozer that is pushing supersaturated air up high in the atmosphere. And that is a lot of times you see long lasting contrails before up to days before storms.

Various people have been promising to collect such a sample for at least 13 that I know of. Never has a sample materialized. I know of at least one high profile person that collect money for the sample taking and then never did anything with it. As for people taking notice, I think it has a lot to do with the internet. The internet allows a few people to easily spread an idea to many be it right or wrong. The rise of "chemtrails" coincidentally correlates with the rise of the internet.
