Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35030957 do you know the layout of the facility and where the explosion originated.? The shills are out in force now, working as a team, so this just gives more credibility to the involvement of a missile. NO it does not. It simply means there are people here who understand basic science and how absurd it is to even vaguely suggest a missile. You are all looking in the wrong place. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 37255353 United States 04/20/2013 05:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The reason it looks like it is coming from the left is because there is a black smoke "wall" in between the fire and the clearing of smoke towards the left of the black smoke. If you look the yellow glare from the left acually gets larger from right to left. The left being more dissipated. So the blast of yellow light is moving out not in to the building. Its just an optical illusion because of the black smoke barrier between the two. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37255353 Now I've heard everything!! Look at it frame by frame. |

Quoting: Apocalypse Troll You are not even correct about the chemical in the plant idiot My dear missiletard, did you not see that there were 270 tons of ammonium nitrate in that plant, in addition to leaking tanks of anhydrous ammonia? The plant was irresponsibly run and had a series of record keeping errors relating to safety and storage. Read the article at my link please. Not a missile. Are you implying this disaster was caused by faulty record keeping? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 13629925 United States 04/20/2013 05:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The smoke from the fire is fuel...as it travels it mixes with the oxygen in the air...thus we have two sides of the fire triangle. However when the smoke travels, you removed the last part, the heat; thus combustion stopped. When you reintroduce another ignitions source, you re-introduce the heat and combustion begins anew. You can demonstrate this By lighting a match, then blowing it out. As the smoke goes up from the match, introduce another match up to 2-3 inches away, but in the smoke trail. The flame will travel down the smoke trail and re-ignite the original match. So... was there another ignition source on the left? Maybe a powerpole? Remember those spontaneously igniting powerpoles in Texas? [link to www.examiner.com] Anyhow, it could be a phenomena like that which gave the missile effect. |

Quoting: The Comedian The air was filled with unstable material, and it caught fire and rapidly expanded. No missile. Are you sure Comedian? What about the whistle before impact? Why was there a total media black out hours after the fact? You're in Texas what is the buzz down there if any? I'm standing behind this one , something is very fishy to me? Hey GT, I updated my post with a bit more narrative explanation, have a look. It could have been a "hit", but it wasn't a missile. Exactly my thought's Comedian. Arson, sabotage... // My definition of insanity. bool try() { return false; } void insanity() { bool success = false; while(!success) { if(try()) { break; } } } |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 4042505 United States 04/20/2013 05:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37513686 "I believe the answer is that for ammonium nitrate to explode, it has to be detonated with a detonator or with some major explosion. And this raises the question, in the week of the Boston bombings, of some individual having placed such a detonator into the store of ammonium nitrate. And the establishment absolutely do not want to start that particular hare running." Drone strike = missile. Part of the drill. But, drills that kill aren't really drills. They are acts of war. And who is always at the scene before the mass murders happen? DHS & Fema. And recently, military. The war is against us. Wait. I just remembered. Aren't there drones now patrolling our Southern (texas?) borders...? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1760662 Australia 04/20/2013 05:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OK how about this. Can nitrate boil off and vaporize? And the smoke cloud comes in contact with a separate ignition source and the races back to the primary fire , thus the shockwave of the ignited-heavily oxygenated deflegrating gas cloud detonates the primary fuel source. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30699297 The screaming sound is the air/gas mixture racing back to the source? Just trying to hypothesize an alternate explanation. ^^^^^^^^^^ This |
