Store usually charges 30 percent profits, but i have seen up to 70 percent at times

There is no "plus $70" in this equation. He was using the bill he stole from the store.

1.) Stole $100 from the store
2.) Spent $70 of that $100 that he stole... stole $70 in goods.
3.) Then received an additional $30 in change from the original $100 that he stole.


$100 + $30 = $130 total theft.

It would qualify under CRT.

It depends on how greedy they are an how well they have the monopoly on the goods sold.Places like Walmart make money by selling a lot of goods with a smaller profit margin.

Look at it from the Store point of view.

$70 of the stolen $100 was returned to the till.

The answer is store lost $100.

4.) also stole $70 of merchandise

100 + 70 + 30 + 70 = $270 total missing at the store
