I think of it as a slow creep, always following.

Being in the bottom of an abandoned well,just barely able to see daylight. Exhausted from trying to climb out, and keep falling back into the chest deep water. Until someone drops A bucket to the bottom and helps you climb out.

I'm Marcus, but I sometimes go by corn pone pie.
Mostly I stop and eat it.

For the unfortunate few the bucket would hit them and knock them out.

Pay means multiple things. Money, time, pain, patience,etc.

An emotional fabrication, unless it's situational, as a reaction to stress from a created reality, set to advance player mode...

And I can prove it's a fabrication, because the chemical makeup of your brain and body are easily manipulated (adjusted) with the introduction of a simple stimulant, to increase the volume of neurotransmitters to the synapses of the brain, and turn depression into enjoyment of things, of life...

Realizing that all the unqualified, ultra-anti-white, dangerous, needy expensive< destructive blacks are getting the jobs, scholarships, loans, and gibsmedats THAT YOU WORKED FOR AND DESERVE!

Depression is a mix of sadness, desperation, anxiety with a splash of adrenaline that of which is then slathered in fear every night before you fall asleep.

Yes. Anger towards one's self and projected on all else.

Of course once the chemicals are available to the brain, it's still up to other factors such as how efficient the reuptake and metabolism of the chemicals are...The liver plays the role of enzyme producer for the metabolism of chemicals...
