The only dog that ever bit me was a St Bernard. tell a dog bite story or cat attack...

I was bitten as a very young child right on the nose by a jack Russel dog vicious little bastard, only dog I ever felt deserved a shotgun blast, little thing was like fizgig from the dark crystal.

My kitty bite my foot when he want food or snack or go outside. Sometime he bite my foot just to bite it. 😺

I stepped on a neighborhood dog's tail by accident
and it turned around and bit me on the lip.
This was in the fifties, so it was no big deal.

(NOTHING was a big deal back then)

Mom took me to the doctor's around the corner,
didn't need stitches, just ice.

They did put the poor dog down, which I felt
bad about because it was my fault, not his.

Not an attack, an accident, but I volunteered at an animal shelter and while bottle feeding a tiny feral kitten, one tiny tooth punctured my fingertip. I didn’t think anything of it because it was barely visible. But hours later it blew up into an infection and my finger was red, hot and swollen. I had to see a doctor for antibiotics. I had bites from other animals and none ever blew up on me like that. I learned to take precautions with any bite.

While I was visiting my parents one afternoon, my sister's large rottweiler/lab/great Dane Cross bit me. He has been a super friendly dog up until then. I was petting/rubbing his head which he loved. He put his head in my lap because he liked it. It was a normal, usual thing.

Suddenly he twisted his head around and bit down on (and through) my forearm just above the wrist. His teeth went through in the space between the 2 bones in the forearm. He dragged me about 4 feet (I'm 6'2" 200 lbs) before my dad jumped on him and we got his mouth open. Then my dad dragged him by the collar and threw him out the front door.

Afterward I was so angry! I was dripping blood through a kitchen-towel bandage looking for a gun to shoot the dog. But my parents convinced me not to shoot him, that my sister would take care of it, it was her responsibility to do so.

A month later and the dog is still alive. My sister "couldn't bring herself to kill her best friend" and my parents took her side. They told her that I must have been harassing the dog and he just reacted to the abuse.

I found out that the dog attacked 2 more people in the next three weeks, biting one 11 year old girl on the face. The dog was quickly smuggled out of town and as far as I know still lives with a friend up north.

My family are assholes.

i once managed to catch a crazy feral cat without a scratch. it was going wild though, eye's were red. it was only the experience of dealing with animals that allowed me to do it.

When I was a kid my friend had a pregnant dalmation.
She was normally a cool dog.
One day she was laying down in the porch of his house.
I walk in and am like ‘hi doggy’ and reach down to scratch her tummy and she snaps at my hand and made me bleed and left skin hanging.

When I was like 9 years old a dog bit me… I still have two little holes in my left butt cheek … she was protecting her babies, I just wanted to bring them inside the house cuz she had them in outside and it’s raining.

The only serious bite I got was from a Rottweiler. Also been bit many times by an old girlfriend's Dachshunds, but those little rats don't count.

If you pet one of them, the other bastard would come over and give you a good chomp when you weren't looking.

I've been nipped several times, only bit once by a Boston Terrier.

Totally my fault. She was a rescue with a sad story. We only had her a few weeks, and she was totally bonded to my wife, was still a little scared of me.

I tried to play by pretending to hit my wife. You could say I fucked around and found out. Bit the blood out of my arm.
She turned into a great dog. 25lbs of fearless love.
I loved that dog.

When I was 5 an adult Collie bit me on the forehead, it got its legs tangled in a rope & apparently thought I was to blame! My skin was split open side-to-side, my mom had to kinda hold it in place while my dad drove us to the ER. Fun times!

Ever since a child I have gone up to any and all dogs cats in the street, never scared or anything. Once walking home from junior school passed the local park there was a pack of dogs, 3 or 4, me not being scared, called them and walked up to them next thing you know they are chasing me. One bit my hand, still have the scar there now.

Did not put me off dogs.

As a kid one of our neighbours had a large dog, me and my brother were teasing it in our garden, he is growling, we run down the garden, he jumps over the wall chasing us, he bit me right on me bum. Parents called the police, looked at my bum, I begged them not to put the dog down, not his fault but ours for teasing him. They let him be.

Did not put me off dogs.

Recently helped out in a dog sanctuary in Turkey, 200+ dogs, big, little and massive ones. I was asked to go down to the bottom pen in this isolated bit of woodland where 3 giant rottweilers were kept. Went there with food, thought "Christ, look at the size of them", opened the cage, and all 3 jumped up on me like little babies, rolling around for fuss and affection, trying to get out the cage was a pickle though, one escaped, and I had to run after him and drag him back in the cage.

Never been put off dogs, even though I have been bit by them.

Only dog ever bit me was a welsh corgi....little big headed stubby bastard ran out of his yard and bit my calve.

Afterward he ran back into the yard...there was a big ass black chow chained to the porch...I tried to hit the corgi with the basketball...but missed and hit the chow rite in the nose with the ball...I fuckin wung it to hard as hell, the chow yelped and the ball rolled back directly to me.

I stood in the street for a few minutes yelling at the house for the people to come out and fight...they never did.

Always felt bad for the chow...he didn't do nothing...it was his mean dickhead little buddy that deserved the basketball smash.

OP, what did you do to piss off a St. Bernard?n surely the bite from such a powerful dog would be terrible.

When I was 14 years old, I was walking home from school with a girl who lived on my same street.

We were joking and talking when all of the sudden a vicious dog came running at us showing his teeth.

I took off running as fast as I could and the dog chased me.

I ended up jumping into the back of a truck that was stopped at a stop sign because the dog was right behind me.

Whew, I was safe. I looked around and everyone was laughing.

The guy driving the truck was laughing. My friend who was still walking was laughing...others who were outside were laughing.

I didn't think it was funny being chased by a very angry Pomeranian.

True story: I have an irrational fear of small, pesky dogs. I’m a dog guy but I have Rottweilers, German Shepards and the like.

It goes back to when I was 2 1/2 years old peddling my tricycle - at least I think that’s what they’re called, it’s those small kids’ bikes close to the ground that is pedal driven.

I’m pedaling along and someone’s dog is let loose. It was the size of a chihuahua but not one - I don’t know the race but it’s one of those ugly, nasty, bulging eye dogs who tremble all the time like they have Parkinson’s. Lots of hair on the face (no, not a pug).

The dog pursued me and I tried to pedal away (should have gotten off and ran but hey I was a toddler) and that filthy creature ran me down and started biting on my arm.

It was a traumatic experience. I maintain that this breed of dog has no soul. I call them devil dogs. You can see it in their eyes, they’re pure evil.

Since then I have an irrational fear of them - irrational of course because I could punt them 10 yards at the size I am now but that experience sticks with me.

First dog was my own. He got out and I tried to bring him inside so he bit me. I was about 7 or 8. I have been but a dozen times after that. Friends neighbours dog was next I tried to pat it through the fence. Bit by some security dogs in a car junk yard. Bit many times breaking up dog fights. After you have been bit a few times you learn how to prepare and avoid it. Now I will walk up to two pit bulls having a fight and pull them apart and not get bit. I think they must realize this is not your first rodeo.

I barley survived a brutal doberman attack while babysitting at age 13. Only reason I lived is because a boy took a ball bat to the dog during the attack. Hours getting stitched back up. One eyelid was barely still attached. Holes in my head and fingers. Protecting my throat and letting him tear up the back of my skull also saved me. Unfortunately some of the ballbat blows to get the dog off me landed on me.

Shredded my thighs. If you get attacked and end up knocked down like I was you must protect the throat. Spent months in bed recovering. When school started in the fall it was my first day of highschool and I still had traces of claw marks showing across my face.

My grandfather was a doctor and on the hospital board so when I made it to the er I had an amazing team who worked hard on me. My mother had to be sedated when she arrived and saw me. I just remember her screaming that I would never look the same again. Thankfully I healed up and scars faded over the years.

The dog had no obedience training. It first bit a girl I was babysitting. I calmly told her to walk behind me. As she did. The dog came after me and had me down immediately.

I am now 47.

I was delivering newspapers and I had this bag with a reflector on the strap and he attacked the strap just out of the blue...

I was petting this wild cat who bit the tender part of under my bicep! I screeched. Didn't bite hard, was just letting me know "I'm hungry here". Took me by surprise. Cute cat, food is scarce now, stores out of cat food. I hurry up and got food for them.

Same here. A St Bernard bit me when I was about 16 running too fast near it.

As a kid i got viciously bit on the lip by a golden retriever of all dog breeds. True story
