Countries join NATO VOLUNTARILY unlike with the Warsaw Pact. Hungarians tried a revolution in 1956 and Czechoslovakians in 1968. Both crushed with tanks, thanks to Soviet Russians being ruthless fuckers. The Polish workers started another uprising in the early 80's, that one they could not smother and eventually USSR collapsed.
