Crypto-currency trading platform Coinbase has blocked 25,000 wallet addresses related to Russia. The platform said the addresses were related to Russian individuals or entities it believed to have engaged in illicit activity. The addresses were blocked over fears crypto-currency could be used to evade sanctions. Soooo...if a private Crypto company can cut you off...do you really feel safe doing business with them? What if you are suddenly deemed the "enemy" and your assets are stolen by a private company? blocked their addresses meaning they cant deposit money to coinbase to trade on their platform Yes, no access to their assets is a problem. Do they have access to these assets in another way? If you create a wallet on coinbase and deposit your crypto there. They have poseesion of the wallet and your assetts. Anybody with a brian who deals in crypto would keep the wallet on a thumbdrive in a safe. Keeping possession of it. Kinda like coinbase is equal to a gold exchange where you have 'paper gold', vs keeping physical gold in your closet. |

User ID: 80117407 United States 03/08/2022 09:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nothing about crypto currencies are really anonymous. Even the transactions wallet to wallet are stored in the block chain; "for security". What little anonymity one has in the system is erased as soon as they connect their personal information to the code of their wallet. Which if you use any service like coin base, you already have. Only the dumbest of the dumb ever thought that a currency based on a code/crypto/cypher, that uniquely identifies every block, plus the blocks next to it in a block chain, would ever be private and untraceable. A currency with a built in identification code? That is the wet dream of these control freak globalist trans humanist oligarchs. When they get your personal details connected to a wallet, they can analyze the block chain and watch every transaction. Their are even companies that are doing it now for law enforcement and the government. But, the masses are just stupid. Isn't the whole idea that it provides anonymity and security? Quoting: Bloody Peasant! Storing on exchanges isn't anonymity. It's kind of like online banking in a way, but with triple the security protocols and double the identity confirmations. That being said, only an idiot puts their eggs in one basket. Bank account, brokerage account, physical gold, physical silver, crypto split into exchange/ledger/old phone and piece of paper old fucking school, real estate holdings. Smart investors diversify. NEVER put your eggs in one basket. Leave that for the fucking retards. Embrace the cognitive dissonance. |
