Before/after flying, the passengers touched things out in public that hundreds of other people had touched, then many of them probably went to sit around dozens of other people in restaurants without wearing masks, probably didn't even bother to wash their hands before eating, and they were okay. But because one person didn't wear wear a mask on a plane, that was somehow a major threat to the safety of the other passengers and the plane had to turn around.

Nah, it can't have been that the flight crew was a bunch of power-tripping control freaks. It had to have been about public safety.

I think what happened....

Yes, there were 129 passengers on a plane that holds 304. They could have seated the maskless passenger to an area alone, but the other passengers would have reported it. They would have taken videos.

Then, the Federal Aviation Administration would fine the crew. Believe me. I know the threats from the FAA. They threatened the airline and airline employees with $10,000 fines before 9/11 if we didn't follow their rules. They were stupid rules, but we were always threatened.

The Biden administration is in charge of the FAA...and you know about their mask mandates.

I believe the mask story. I found this yesterday:

A whopping 5,981 reports of unruly passengers were logged by the FAA in 2021.

Of those, 4,290 -- nearly 72% -- were mask-related incidents.

Before 2021, the FAA didn't track the number of unruly passenger incidents reported because the number was fairly consistent.
