But it was about public safety, right?

Before/after flying, the passengers touched things out in public that hundreds of other people had touched, then many of them probably went to sit around dozens of other people in restaurants without wearing masks, probably didn't even bother to wash their hands before eating, and they were okay. But because one person didn't wear wear a mask on a plane, that was somehow a major threat to the safety of the other passengers and the plane had to turn around.

Nah, it can't have been that the flight crew was a bunch of power-tripping control freaks. It had to have been about public safety.

This should happen more often. Drag the covidian idiots into a corner that forces there hand. Airlines will start to see the profit drop in their mandate enforcement.

There was a pinned thread last night talking about all the emergency calls from aircraft as of late. It was a great thread and gave knowledge of an app that tracks air traffic.

I fly frequently for work. Airports and airplanes are full of assholes nowadays, not so much the passengers but the workers. It wasn't always like that.

Their 777-200 has 273 seats.
777-300 has 304 seats
It was flight 38. It looks like they use the 777-300.

Should have been in first class, I’ve flown America a few times international in the past 6 months and no one in first wore a mask it was great

Might not be because of a passenger mask situation but rather the crew timed out flight hours according to the news video…..so someone might be trying to make a sensational story as to why they turned back.

Aren't people allowed to take their masks off when they are eating and drinking anyway on a plane - which essentially means people all remove them at the same time for perhaps an hour when they eat their long haul meal and have drinks.

Because of course viruses don't spread on planes when you are stuffing your face with food!

If its fine for 150 people to remove their mask on a plane to eat - why is it an issue for one person who doesn't wear a mask while not eating?
