But I think Biden controls the Panama Canal too There are other west coast ports. Or just ship all the crap back to China. On December 31, 1999, the United States, in accordance with the Torrijos-Carter Treaties, officially hands over control of the Panama Canal, putting the strategic waterway into Panamanian hands for the first time. My understanding is that China is in control of the canal at this time. I may be incorrect on that. |

But I think Biden controls the Panama Canal too Florida can handle a million containers a year . when the California ports are operating properly they handle a million a month . California and operating properly don’t exist in the same universe. |

Quoting: HollyWho See what I did there? Same thing with the farmers that are sued over GMOs contaminating their crops. Be proactive, if your neighbor plants GMO crops, the bees then carry the pollen to your fields, why can Monsanto prevent the non GMO farmer from selling his crops? Sue Monsanto for the cross contamination first, before they test your crops. And, what in the hell are they doing in your fields in the first place? Isn't that trespassing? start pushing containers overboard |

The red tape needed just to go into the port is mind boggling they wont touch a shipping container no matter what you offer them Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81062799 Why can't they just unload the containers in Mexico and then have the illegals carry the stuff in. Maybe the Mexican's can give the illegals jobs for trucking the merchandise across our Southern Border... I say bypass all the California ports and send them to other ports to be unloaded... I bet the cartels will get involved and hide many illegals in those containers. Just think how many you can fit at $5K per head... |

Create emissions standards that make it hard for trucking companies, then create many of other issues then fine them for not being able to be productive with all cali's red tape. quote:Half Past Midnight:MV80OTQ4MDY2XzJGRUZEOTA1] Officials have said they will start fining shipping companies whose cargo containers linger for too long at marine terminals, going into effect Nov. 1, according to USA Today. In an effort to ease congestion at the nation's busiest port complex, the twin ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach said in a statement that arriving containers scheduled to be moved by trucks will be allowed to stay for nine days before fines start accruing. Containers set to move by rail can stay at the ports for three days, after that ocean carriers will be charged US$100 per container, increasing in $100 increments per container per day. Truckers are tired of losing money waiting hours and hours or days to be loaded so many independents are no longer going there. Get the docks operating efficiently again, more people, more cranes, 24/7 operation. And tell that idiot governor to loosen regulations on truckers for awhile to get the backlog taken care of. |
