Does the Devil Read ?

Supposedly, John of Patmos writes down what he sees as the end times. All "divinely" inspired by god; right? So, "god" is casting down hell from above onto and upon humanity; then, he releases the devil to kick it all into over drive. In the end, (if you believe it) then the devil is destroyed. What kind of weird aliens are we dealing with here? Aren't they all demonic?

Oh, and don't get me wrong: I do believe it will happen just like it was written.

As a matter of fact, it is happening right now. However, answer the question: why would the Devil play a role by the script and be destroyed...hard to believe right?

And if we are "loved" and not simply being used for some things sick inner war with some other being; then why all the misery?

It's because the view of the devil as rebellious angel and enemy of God, probably isn't correct. Satan isn't a name, it's a spiritual office and though it means adversary, it's not the adversary of God, but of man. The devil is just the divine prosecutor in the trial and judgment of humanity.

Look at the book of Job. The devil doesn't sound like a rebellious angel at all. He is walking around earth and heaven, he talks to God. In fact it is God that creates all the calamities and punishments on Job. The devil just argued for him to be tested. Like a prosecutor would.

Well, a "man" can read.

What does it matter if he can read if he is just doing his job as a servant of God and really isn't going into the lake of fire in the end, just the people he proved unworthy of existing.

So, "god" and the devil are working in unison and concert together...a conspiracy?
