Is anyone else skeptical about this case?
It sort of strikes me as tru crime tv fodder starring some Youtubers.

Obviously, she is very nice looking blond and that is a requisite to get followers to the case.
There is another Gabrielle Petito that is 25 years old from the Levittown area that is near to Blue Point.
Why were they pulled over for the LE body cam deal?

If she hadn't been heard from and she is youtubing their trip sort of, since August 25, and he goes home on the September 1st to Florida, why would her parents wait until September 11, of all dates to file a Missing Person's report?

So far it seems like a scripted tale for clickbaits and future movie of the week fodder and long term court tv shows.
I suspect that cases are goosed and created all the time to meet the public demand for "interesting" cases to follow.

I freely admit to being a true crime follower of some cases in the past, that's why this doesn't pass the smell test, so far.

It has been brought to our attention that somebody copied our earlier press release, altered the document, and then reposted it. Disregard the press release that is dated "September 17, 2021; 1700 Mountain Time". This is false information. There is no press conference scheduled for Saturday the 18th of September.
Whoever created the false post also misspelled the names in the document.

Meh, it's definitely most grist for my mill. I do not think a Sheriff's Office would refer to their case individual by a nickname. I believe her name would be taken from an official document, if there were one that would have referred to her as Gabrielle. You don't file a MP report using a pet name like "Gabby". Another red flag that this may be bogus.

Maybe LE and the news outlets/social media have agreements to not call each other out on fake news regardless of who initiates the storyline.
