Fedex to reinstate signature requirements effective 9/15

LOL....piss on em, if I have to go somewhere to pick up something that was supposed to be delivered but was at work and wasn't there to sign for it.....guess its a service I don't need.

Have it delivered to your workplace rather than home. They know it has to be during business hours and they don’t drop it off after business is closed for the day.

My hatred for fedex is about to be rekindled.

Fedex drivers are notorious for slapping a 'we missed you' sticker on your door without ever knocking. They are assholes.

Most companies don’t allow this.

They must have a room full of bean counters figuring out porch pirate losses vs. redelivery costs. Guess redelivery it is.

Their drivers are notorious for dumping packages into local dumpsters and delivering stuff to the wrong addresses here. Complaints have been filed by hundreds of people but the problems continue.

I don't see how signature requirements are going to help stop that. Maybe try hiring better people first.

As Fed Ex looked ahead they could see people would be losing their food deliveries to roaming hoards.

Had two parcels never even make it to me... both high price items. Several hundred to over a grand.

None of the little orders ever seem to go missing in transport. Or from my "porch", which is a gate 100 yds from my front door.

I suspect the "new" and probably unvetted drivers.

But I know people do take things off porches in cities. Different in rural areas. I guess.

This was UPS but just thought it was relevant.

Ordered a rug that was out for delivery Friday. Suddenly it showed delivered and proof of delivery had my last name spelled wrong. I never got any rug.

I filed a claim immediately.

They want to get a signature so they can go after Ivermectin and other med shipments from India/Canada.

All the walmart deliveries, no way. Fedex hires UPS to take up the slack.

Just more impediments to the supply chain.

Also, many people work from home.

Weird. I thought FEDEX was the best courier to use to ship a package that is fragile and breakable.

I always use two day delivery to send to a relative....at least once or twice month for several years, and it ALWAYS arrives in two days. They just don't knock or ring the doorbell to let her know it's on the doorstep.

That signature requirement is a $5.00 extra charge.

FedEx can be used as a way to serve defendants with legal paperwork. We have been using it for about a year now to serve petitions on defendants, and the judges are accepting it as proper service. BUT, a signature is required to make it work. This is in Louisiana.

Pre-911 was the time to buy everything needed.
Now just need a local food source.

Winter is coming.

If you use Fed Ex Tracking " Manage deliveries" you may electronic sign signature for standard items other then Fire Arms, or Booze. I am sure UPS will also do the same, again just use the UPS manage deliveries on your computer to sign for standard shipping items.

Sounds like the driver will sign it for you......

They'll probably require you to show your vax papers to get close enough to the FedEx employee to sign.

How could anyone bitch about a delivery service insuring the security of your package?

I know when I order $???? worth of freedom seeds I don't want that shit just left on the porch.
