It might be higher than 1% now. Given the pressure from above nurses, doctors and other health providers might be using VAERS as a way to get the message out that they can't any other way. So it might be 2% or 5% even (less likely) but it still indicates an enormous number of deaths and adverse reactions.

Most don't report anything to VAERS including deaths.

It's not required just voluntary.

Buddy of mine just got the second jab of Pfizer and he's not in good condition. He was croaking and sounded like hell over the phone. Said he's feeling a little better yesterday but I haven't heard from him today. I hope he not in hospital or worse.

That is the only first hand info I have . I will keep an eye out on my boss , she is vaxxed and my neighbor , they know I am antivax .
