Vaccine Exemptions by State 2021

Does anyone know criteria for medical exemption? I am building a log home in the Adirondack mountains i started before covid, I am devastated

I spent quite a bit of time reading EEO laws and I was very disappointed to find out that an employer can argue the authenticity of your religious or medical exemption, if they believe it’s disingenuous. There are also not many religions that oppose modern medicine or vaccination. I think Christian Science might be one.

Just get State and charter the 501c3 off a national church if you are going to do pantry - the only reason for a fed # is second harvest access. If you don't want to get pantry truck or file academic degrees, you dont need one. Dont need one for DDs either as far as that goes.

Title VII and COVID-19 Vaccinations

K.12. Under Title VII, how should an employer respond to an employee who communicates that he or she is unable to be vaccinated for COVID-19 (or provide documentation or other confirmation of vaccination) because of a sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance? Once an employer is on notice that an employee’s sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance prevents the employee from getting a COVID-19 vaccine, the employer must provide a reasonable accommodation unless it would pose an undue hardship. Employers also may receive religious accommodation requests from individuals who wish to wait until an alternative version or specific brand of COVID-19 vaccine is available to the employee. Such requests should be processed according to the same standards that apply to other accommodation requests.

EEOC guidance explains that the definition of religion is broad and protects beliefs, practices, and observances with which the employer may be unfamiliar. Therefore, the employer should ordinarily assume that an employee’s request for religious accommodation is based on a sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance. However, if an employee requests a religious accommodation, and an employer is aware of facts that provide an objective basis for questioning either the religious nature or the sincerity of a particular belief, practice, or observance, the employer would be justified in requesting additional supporting information. See also 29 CFR 1605.

Under Title VII, an employer should thoroughly consider all possible reasonable accommodations, including telework and reassignment. For suggestions about types of reasonable accommodation for unvaccinated employees, see question and answer K.6., above. In many circumstances, it may be possible to accommodate those seeking reasonable accommodations for their religious beliefs, practices, or observances.

Under Title VII, courts define “undue hardship” as having more than minimal cost or burden on the employer. This is an easier standard for employers to meet than the ADA’s undue hardship standard, which applies to requests for accommodations due to a disability. Considerations relevant to undue hardship can include, among other things, the proportion of employees in the workplace who already are partially or fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and the extent of employee contact with non-employees, whose vaccination status could be unknown or who may be ineligible for the vaccine. Ultimately, if an employee cannot be accommodated, employers should determine if any other rights apply under the EEO laws or other federal, state, and local authorities before taking adverse employment action against an unvaccinated employee

I can't speak specifics for New York State, assuming that is where you are building -

New York does not recognize anything other than medical reasons, it seems.

most usual culprits are:

severe allergic response to past vaccinations

allergy to a component of the vaccine -

If I go out and become an ordained minister and start signing religious exemptions for people, who's to say that's valid or not?

It all boils down to IF and WHAT the mandator (Boss, Corp., School, etc.) will accept.
If they agree with your position or claim, it's good enough.

If they do not... You have choices to make.

Go elsewhere
Relocate
Take the jab

I am amazed, disappointed, and angry that our world has
come to this.

I am trapped in California and feeling absolutely screwed. I had saved up thousands of dollars in order to relocate for this reason, and it was recently stolen. I have a horrific medical history and very fragile health that is finally stable after many years of suffering most of the things that are listed on the side effects of the vaccine, things that people are suffering and dying from. I am literally a walking miracle and I have no interest in toying with that, or suffering on a daily basis because of these idiots and their sick concoctions. My doctor was unable to give me any type of exemption because she said she would lose her medical license, she was practically shaking in fear and wouldn't even make eye contact with me, and kept telling me to go talk to some other doctor about this subject, not her. She vaguely alluded to the fact that she is indeed having patients that are having complications because of having to take it. And now California is pushing their mandates.

I was ordained by the ULC just over 30 years ago.
Also have a Doctor of Divinity through them.

can you offer wording for a good exemption style letter, one that someone ordained by the ULC might write?

I know one but he is lazy.

Easiest way to have an exemption is to remove the illegal, treasonous, entities out of office starting with main stream media. When someone is trying to kill you, you don't offer them an exemption paper. Assemble the Americans. Sry for the rant, its meant as a pep talk..

I saw the great answer already provided - here is my experience in addition:

2 people I know were ordained by the Universal Life Church, which is fairly easy to do.

The Church does NOT tell you what to think or believe, or preach.

One person did it to officiate at his daughter's home wedding. It was legal.

The other did it as part of starting a small home-based ministry. Also fine.

The only problem is some states question the tax exemption of this church - are people getting ordained to avoid taxes?

Islam is not an acceptable religion in my mind - it isn't even a religion but a system of governance. Sucks as that too.

Im sorry but the states are compromised. At least 80% of them. For example they are trying to remove Cuomo and replace her with Pelosi's step daughter. <<compromised>> and no one can be trusted except non-government personnel.

men need to start reaching out to Sheriffs. All sheriffs are supposed to run this brigade to make sure all is done legally. The might comes from the tens of millions of American men.

Using the Sheriff All states, the FCC, and main stream media need to be taken as fast as possible. Any resistance from the Fed or the UN needs to be dealt with accordingly. This I fear is the only exemption which will work. Well, other than like Australia is trying, truckers cutting off supplies to certain states and the Fed.

I have an appt. with my cardiologist and was going to ask for an exemption
but reading the comments, it doesn't look like it's going to fly.

We should have a Sunday service for GLP religiously-exempt people.
