Exactl, people back then didn't realize how small viruses were. 300 million fit on the head of a pin. Also the Spanish flu was wiping out children and many more people than the coronavirus. Over 50 million dead in a year compared to 4 million in 20 months. Plus we are so much more all connected by travel now. If Spanish flu hit now instead of 1918, we would have seen billions dead.

Masks, most definitely, contributed hugely to the 1918 death count (whatever the actual count is)….in addition to lack of good hygiene, nutrition, living conditions of the times, etc. There were many factors involved.

It is estimated (alleged) that 50 million people, worldwide, died from the Spanish flu, with 675K of those deaths occurring in the US. Interestingly, [link to demographia.com] stats don’t agree with that number. According to their data, the US population actually increased by 1.24 million from 1917 to 1919. In 1918, the population only decreased by 60K from 1917, which is a huge discrepancy.

According to History.com, most deaths occurred during the second wave, which was during the Fall months, exactly when mask mandates were implemented.

Masks are still unhealthy to use and do absolutely nothing prevent the spread or contraction of viruses. The main difference is that, today, we have better nutrition, sanitation, living conditions, so the effects have not been as devastating. Now, it’s the gene-encoded, synthetic DNA drugs that fearful and unwitting people are willingly receiving that are killing them.

Because 100 years ago we were 90% white and didn't have third world savages immigrating from non-Western countries. So if someone said WE are in this together in 1918, a 90% white country is going to have a much higher degree of trust and social cohesion than a 350 million person shit hole working on Cloward-Pivening our formerly great nation.

I actually wear a mask when I run errands but I feel terrible for people forced to wear them all the time.
