Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72191338 Never a bad idea to start with less and work your way up. I have no sensitivity to 3% unless I get it in my nose or eyes. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80249080 United States 04/29/2021 01:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This will be a quick but important post. Quoting: Hot Dog Harry If you feel sensitivity in one of your teeth like you might be starting an infection try this: Put some 3% hydrogen peroxide in your mouth and then floss all your teeth. The trick is to get the hydrogen peroxide in between all your teeth so make sure to get it on the dental floss first. After that spit it out and put some more hydrogen peroxide in your mouth and swish it around. Repeat until pain is gone. I did this two days ago and it worked with just one attempt. I had eaten some chocolate at night and in the morning I had sensitivity in two of my bottom molars. I flossed and swished and it went away that day. Save yourself an expensive and painful dental visit or possible loss of a tooth. Costs about a nickel each time and only takes about a minute or two. Make sure it's only 3% and use a fresh bottle. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72191338 I agree with you & OP. Peroxide is a miracle. But 3% for your mouth should be fine, I believe. Separately, I nebulize peroxide and did find that 3% was harsh. Now I add half water, so ~1.5% which is perfect for me. But that is for your lungs. :] There's. A. H0le. In. The. Sky. |

I recommend everyone to consult their dentist regarding teeth problems ir other oral ailments. Be a responsible person, OP. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80294985 People have been using hydrogen peroxide for decades to cure infection. It's not "my" advice, I'm just offering a method of delivering it in between the teeth that I found works really well. If you have a bad infection, see a dentist. I deal in preventative health so that hopefully you won't get a really bad infection. |

That would allow more infection in. It's important to protect your enamel. Vinegar is especially bad for it so don't swish with that. I do love vinegar though, just try to keep it from settling on your enamel for any length of time. |

Not sodium fluoride... I'm 100% against that and I use fluoride free toothpaste. Hydrogen peroxide is water with one extra oxygen atom. |

I also started using baking soda to brush. I think it all works better than toothpaste..that's just me though. Quoting: TheEmptyChild I use Tom's fluoride free toothpastes. Yep...my kids uses that. I have used them before also. I just realized how expensive non fluoride toothpaste is and started going old school with the baking soda. |

Rinse a lot with plain water after. Don't swallow it. It's also good for sore throat and loosening mucous. Again don't swallow or you'll be puking up foam. |

I don't agree with diluting it unless it causes you pain or a reaction. In that case you might be allergic to it. It's already 97% water. I don't swallow it but if you get a little in your stomach it's no big deal. Once it's foam, it has already broken down into hydrogen and oxygen. |
