How does one stay humble?

With so much pressure to keep up appearances in this world, it should come as no surprise that people frown upon anything that goes against the Ego. After all, most take kindness for weakness. Is it really that difficult to show empathy by considering that not everyone is privileged in this world or is everyone so self-absorbed that they refuse (or simply cannot) to put themselves 'in another's shoes'? Movies such as Joker shine a much-needed spotlight on what happens when the impoverished must resort to a survivalist mentality to rise above the mediocrity. More than mental illness, it is human-kind's desperate struggle to be heard amidst the bombardment of (mis)information that is disseminated via the media. Must an uprising be necessary for the message to create such a ripple effect among the masses?

This happens because over the many hundreds of years of human civilization, the appointed leaders of the world have systematically edged out the Godhead that is ensconced deep within all of us. They have done so by employing a 'divide and conquer' approach to claiming ownership over property...the progression of hierarchical control began with the separation of church and state, striking the fear of God into the hearts of the bewildered masses. Because of this, societies have evolved to live in clusters since a herded population is easier to manage when living in close quarters to one another. To make matters worse, the 'powers that be' understand The Game well enough to use fear as *the* single most effective tactic to control the population.

Enough humble pie for one sitting?
