How does one stay humble?

To stay humble, think of the things that are too high for your present intellect.

to lose humility with pride, say to yourself, yes, but the things that are too high for me are higher than the things that are too high for (my students: the rest of humanity).

Does one need to be humiliated to find humility?

The calcified ego is devoid of humility...

Will mankind utilize this crisis as the catalyst that it is and graduate from might over right into right over might?

arrogance To humility... helter skelter.

And we get to the top of the slide, and we do it again.

be compassionate.

show compassion to anyone who pisses you off and engages your ego.

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."

Be grateful and always hold onto that. Or, have a humiliating event happen and always remember it.

Only ways I have experienced.

Fast with the pupose to give to those who are hungry.


Fast for twenty-four hour and give that money that you would have spent on food to those who are hungry.


You put your spirit in charge over your flesh. You put your heart and money to those who need food.

Do this once a month for the rest of your life and you will keep things in the right perspective.


Something basic and primal happens to you when you go hungry with the purpose to help others.

you could stay humble by theorizing you may never know all things, but that humility won't edge you much closer to knowing them.

Arrogance is "i think i know" "I'm going to assume it's true until", and where would we be without science. And, so it goes.

Humility see how big we really are in relation to the Universe.

Then we get the opportunity to see just how much we could not possibly understand.

Lack of humility stems from wrongfully thinking we have it all figured out when the reality is that we truly know next to nothing.

Great way of thinking/acting.

Hindus claim that 24 hours of fasting may clear one year of karma. It is a bit silly because karma means doing or cause but some will get the idea of the thought.

Reminds me of the Huxley quote..

When the lens of perception is cleansed, reality will be seen as it is.... Infinite.

Listen to Jordan Peterson lectures. It helped me understand the world around me.

Such a desire can help you in your manifestation of this experience.

I find continuing to do work in the rain when it begins to fall to be a humbling experience. Any lightening however and my desire to remain exposed ends pretty quickly.

I would say that the best way is to realize we live in a spacegoing civilization, and that being frugal and Christlie, is perfectly in line with space travel.
In facing the void of space, we must pass through a portal that is far more painful and restrictive than the one through which God delivers us to Earthbound existence.
In order to achieve what we are and have, at this time, it is well to take up the ways of Christ and to follow his ways. We would certainly expect anyone heroic enough to go to space and come back alive, to be of the highest character. That one person, or persons, who through uniformity and ascetic training, can pierce the veil we all gaze up to, well, that would be a great person but they would have made humility their bedfellow.
