My very two favorite moments are not in the trilogy however. Luthien singing before Sauron and Fingolfin calling Morgoth out! The vision of all that in my mind is unparalleled. Luthien dressed as Thuringwethl riding Huan to Tol in Gaurhoth. I wish they would do the Sil! Making sammiches great again! |

My literary influences as a young adult were more classical, like Thomas B Costain, Dickens, Austen, ect. As an adult I re-discovered Tolkien and as a writer, I can better appreciate him as a great fantasy character / world builder. The movie based upon his life was also excellent- highly recommend and showed whom his literary influences were. <- to me that was nerd exciting. |

I need more complex questions though for a poll. Put some up here before I start a poll thread. I'm drifting away from writing my spy series and working on Fantasy!!! So much more fun and interesting. I thought it would require less research and I could just sit and write - LOL. How naïve is this boy... I'm doing my maps in Wonderdraft - have you used that program? Cheers! . |

No but as I'm not really going into fantasy but thinking of my own world, that might be really, really helpful! Thank you!!! I will check it out. So making up names is kinda tough right? Anne McCaffery did this thing where she would drop consonants for her dragon riders. Or vowels, usually the second letter of the name. Felessen became F'lessen etc. Kinda neat. Don't let anything hold back your imagination. Happy writing! Making sammiches great again! |
