Giant Food supermarkets have begun labeling products on their shelves as "Black-owned," "Hispanic-owned," "LGBT-owned"

Is the other going to be the Chinese own or is their room for no color sexual orientation, if I see any with the last one on there, they can forget about getting my money. I don't care what their sexual orientation is, I care about the product, none of the product are heterosexual listed nor should there be, if I saw that I would not use my money buying from them.

People should never have to mess with this, it is crazy and just may cause people to lose their buyer because of it. If people think that listing what color or sexual thing they are into is more important than quality they have another thing coming that is losing of business. Insanity has gripped this country and others and it time to say no more.

It's just as well. Giant is the dirtiest and dingiest grocery store I have ever been in.

I can't wait to see these products begin to lose sales.

When a person can not do a job without using their race or color, cause everyone mention color yet, every one of their race is not their color, I am multi racial, color has little to do with it, nor is sexual orientation even need nor need to know at all.


White skin is not about race, get that through your heads. Nor is it a privilege or the majority of poor would not be white. Yes white people in color not about their race, are the majority and the other people are in the minority so, there a lot of poor people guess the majority who are really poor and don't get help because they are so privileged because of their skin color, don't matter the color is why being poor doesn't matter. It is amazing to me that people believe all those claimed media driven drivel and don't even check anything. Whites know they can't ask or complain. You just suck it up and do the best you can.

If i was one of these companies i sure as hell hope they would ask for my consent because I would NOT want my product labeled that way as it may in fact reduce sales of my product.

What the hell are these people thinking? Does anyone know if the companies had to consent to that or the grocery chain simply decided to just go ahead with the labelling?

And it's NOT because of who owns them, it is because they are singling them out. If they did that with White owned businesses, all kinds of shit fits would commence.

I'm afraid if somebody is trying to tell me that I must buy food merely because it is owned by blacks or NOT owned by whites, they are going to lose a sale. I suppose this is OK in a store in a large minority area, but it's likely to backfire in a lot of regions.

I thought we got rid of this race labeling shit in the 60s.

They're playing with fire with this racial stuff. My sons are white males. While they were seniors in high school we were looking for scholarships through the university they were going to. Basically, you filled out a generic form with your gender and race. We filled it out and pressed "scholarships available"...big fat zero!! Not kidding. So, we changed race to "black", "Hispanic", "American Indian" and female. WOW, all kinds of scholarships came up, went back to white male and zilch. Long story short, my sons and I discussed it and I asked them when they are working for a company as someone who assists in making hiring decisions, and a job opening came up and multiple applicants applied who do they want the white male who had to work his ass off to finance his education or the minority who got all the scholarship money. They said they would hire the white male because they knew that he didn't get anything handed to him and the fact that he had a degree meant he had to be innovative and a worker and that was the person they wanted on their team. Not that minorities are bad, but a white male was a sure thing.
