cutting down to 1 cig per day
trying this out

i can definately feel the effects of smoking 10+ cigs per day

but i don't want to quit completely

so i've been holding this one cig in my hand all day

been 16 hours since i smoked a cig

once every 24 hours can't be bad right?

just enough to stave off the cravings

i quit before for 4 years but started back, i still had cravings after that long

so i hold the cig in my hand pretending to smoke it and it actually works

I switched from one before bed to a nice organic tobacco packed in a pipe.

I change the pipe filter every 2-3 bowls. Tastes better and the whole action of cleaning/packing/smoking is nice

One a day will become 2, then 3, then 5...
Then you'll be back to 3 packs a day,
like I was.

and i've never smoked that much

the most i smoke in a day is 12, never more

and i feel like shit if i smoke 12 in a day

many days i can smoke 5 to 7 depending on what all i have going on

it's possible, it's just willpower

think of the natives, they smoked tobacco but not all day

they occupied their time doing other stuff

i think it's just more an effort of finding stuff to do

also holding the cig in your hand and pretending to smoke it helps

dull pains in back and chest

coughing bouts in the morning

tingling in arms and legs from lack of circulation

i do yoga and jog and it does bring relief

but then its just too much smoke and too harsh on the lungs

If you can sustain one a day buy some organic cigarettes and try to get off the tobacco completely. You won't even want more than one organic a day. I have maybe one a month now. They kick like a cigarette if you haul hard enough. I bought five packs of nirdosh off amazon I still have most of them.

no, nothing like that going on. just normal healthy lungs. i cycle over 20 miles every day. most of the time i have a smoke during the bike ride. i don't find it's a problem. i think people are confused, smoking doesn't make it hard the breath. the opposite happens. it's a bronchodilator.

Was about to write something similar but you nailed it.
Move to organic tobacco and from there it’s easy to stop complete. Although with moderation there is nothing wrong with smoking.

As a past smoker I say best of luck to you but why torture yourself? As Yoda would say, “Do or do not. There is no try.”
I knew one girl years ago who smoked only one cig per day, so she says.

I work with a guy who has always bragged and tells the story to anyone who will listen how he smokes (2) cigs a day, One in the morning and one as he returns from work.
I caught this same guy sneaking one behind the shop when he thought his secret was safe.

I personally feel cigs are doctored somehow to make us all smoke exactly 20 cigs a day.

I tried cutting back, it was torture so I just had to stop.
3 days of hell, 3 weeks of moderate hell then 3 months of wanting one then 3 years of thinking about it.

When I got my head right that I could deal with anything for 3 days then 3 weeks it was not as hard as I thought...

well try a more natural smoke

i don't feel it's torture at all

unless you are hooked on some other chemical they are putting in modern cigs

i usually smoke too much because i'm bored not because i'm actually craving a cig all day

but i smoke this brand called "aura" they are supposedly without additives, just water and tobacco.

they burn totally different than your other brands, your marlboros, parlaiments, newports

i'm convinced it's the chemicals that have people really hooked
