More older people are vaxxed than younger people. People over 60 have a better chance of dying anyway. Younger people have better immune systems, less of them have been vaxxed and.....They're younger. I think this is apples and oranges, and that is why they put the info out this way.

Over 60 should not mean more likely to die. This just proves the insanity of this virus.

But now we got to boosters. This isn’t good. This again pushes it fitness levels that just keep going in each wave.

Ground Truth Report Indianapolis - J&J Vaccine vs. Delta Variant

Okay, I now have credible and specific evidence of vaccine fade over time, Delta variant breakthrough, or a combination of both.

Our neighbor received the J&J vaccine earlier this year. Don't remember when exactly, but it was prior to April.

Two weeks ago she got infected and diagnosed with the Delta variant of Covid, which she caught from a coworker who had just returned from Florida with a fever and sinus congestion. He was an anti-masker and insisted he just had a sinus infection.

Except he didn't.

Our neighbor has been off work for the past two weeks. Symptoms included headache, fever, and sinus congestion.

This is not theory or hyperbole. Either the vaccine loses its efficacy over time or the Delta variant has achieved some level of breakthrough. It is also possible that both conditions are occurring simultaneously.

I've been holding back on my opinion until I felt sure enough to say something, because I don't like to overreact. But I think it's time to acknowledge that we're going down this road again, and it's going to be worse this time around than it was in 2020.

Raffette and I are reviewing our supplies with the goal of approaching a one-year supply of non-perishables this time, rather than six months in the freezer and six months in the shelter. I'll also be restocking my gasoline supplies earlier than normal this year. I have refitted our P100 respirators with new filters and put them in our vehicles. We're going back to wearing masks in public places, mandate or no mandate.

Make your preparations and begin protecting yourself NOW, people. Seriously. We've barely scraped the surface of the rabbit hole so far.

Over half the deer tested in Michigan have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2

On Wednesday, the US Department of Agriculture released some rather disturbing news: a survey of wild deer populations has found that large numbers of the animals seem to have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The finding indicates that there's a very large population of wild animals in North America that could serve as a reservoir for the virus, even if we were to get its circulation within the human population under control.

We have all the facepalms. The best facepalms.

Fast food doom. Which is kind of scary because they need pacifiers.

Not just fast food. We have several friends in food service. Some family owned, some chains. One chain sit down has had to buy their own things like STRAWS! because they haven't come on the truck.

All of them say they have to change the menus due to lack of availability. Doesn't seem to matter what, either.

My friend that tested positive fully jabbed since Mid April with Pfizer.

Same symptoms, thought it was a sinus infection...headaches, earache, tooth ache pain combinations, totally plugged sinus...no drainage, no cough, no fever that I know of.

As far as I know her husband has no symptoms and did not test positive. I am not sure if he got Pfizer or Moderna, I can try to find out.

I was potentially exposed b/c of her but any small symptoms I was experiencing last week are gone. Hopefully I'm not a mild/asymptomatic case. I think my issues were from wildfire smoke and bonfire smoke though...guess time will tell. It has been 2 weeks and a few days since my exposure to her.

Ah, but see? That's the rub. Who decides what is enough? I don't think I'm doing "enough", not at the level I did a few years ago. I sympathize with the covid survivors. It's a lot like what I went through after my kidneys shut down and thankfully, restarted. It was months before I could go without a cane. I feel bad for them, but what is there to do?

I've been thinking about this today. We all come on here and post and read the latest, but what good have we done, other than for ourselves? Some have read and prepped and stayed out of trouble, but shoot! My own kids didn't listen. They got the shots. My daughter fully plans to get the littles theirs when it's available. I'm sure my oldest son will do the same with his 2.

Talking to my brother and sil yesterday, they told me of people in town that I know that have died, had heart attacks, strokes. All vaxxed, I'm sure enough that I'd put money on it and win. All really good people.

I totally believe in the power of prayer, but I've got no words. I trust God to hear the "groanings of my heart" and I know that He does. I can't answer the prayer request threads anymore. I can't give condolences. Everything sounds trite to me and they deserve better than what I can give.

My heart is beyond broken, it's smashed to bits and stomped on. Whoever is responsible for this madness deserves so much more than hung, drawn and quartered, but again, we wait for God's judgment because man will not give them up.

as RW pointed out the other day, how are the deer being infected? it is quite odd that it is so widespread in just 1 year. deer do not travel, and mingle as mush as humans. ain't driving around.

i'd like to see more spec's from the report. did they do 1 area and assume for the whole state? i doubt that but sill would like to see the info. couldn't find any the other day.

other than the hikers at state parks,ppl aren't out in the woods as much as before either. video games keep kids entertained instead. not many deer walk up and hug ppl either. for it to b so wide spread, it must b in more wildlife as well. racoons,skunks, feral cats,coyotes. so did it jump from garbage to wild dogs than to the deer? or from cats?

Short answer: They don't know. But they suspect it's a domestic animal that is transferring the virus to deer, not humans. Their samples were from multiple states. Illinois deer only tested 7% positive in their sample. Michigan deer - 60%.
