Ah, but see? That's the rub. Who decides what is enough? I don't think I'm doing "enough", not at the level I did a few years ago. I sympathize with the covid survivors. It's a lot like what I went through after my kidneys shut down and thankfully, restarted. It was months before I could go without a cane. I feel bad for them, but what is there to do?

I've been thinking about this today. We all come on here and post and read the latest, but what good have we done, other than for ourselves? Some have read and prepped and stayed out of trouble, but shoot! My own kids didn't listen. They got the shots. My daughter fully plans to get the littles theirs when it's available. I'm sure my oldest son will do the same with his 2.

Talking to my brother and sil yesterday, they told me of people in town that I know that have died, had heart attacks, strokes. All vaxxed, I'm sure enough that I'd put money on it and win. All really good people.

I totally believe in the power of prayer, but I've got no words. I trust God to hear the "groanings of my heart" and I know that He does. I can't answer the prayer request threads anymore. I can't give condolences. Everything sounds trite to me and they deserve better than what I can give.

My heart is beyond broken, it's smashed to bits and stomped on. Whoever is responsible for this madness deserves so much more than hung, drawn and quartered, but again, we wait for God's judgment because man will not give them up.

Don't feel sorry for me. This is coming to us all. Hell is loose on earth and it isn't going to freeze over.

as RW pointed out the other day, how are the deer being infected? it is quite odd that it is so widespread in just 1 year. deer do not travel, and mingle as mush as humans. ain't driving around.

i'd like to see more spec's from the report. did they do 1 area and assume for the whole state? i doubt that but sill would like to see the info. couldn't find any the other day.

other than the hikers at state parks,ppl aren't out in the woods as much as before either. video games keep kids entertained instead. not many deer walk up and hug ppl either. for it to b so wide spread, it must b in more wildlife as well. racoons,skunks, feral cats,coyotes. so did it jump from garbage to wild dogs than to the deer? or from cats?

this does hint at some intel from UD way back.

Air purifiers are helpful (that's why airplanes are fine, but airports not so much - the filters).

People's reaction to the virus is individual - not a matter of who gave it to you (ie, a person with a mild case can give it to someone who dies).

So there you have it. The three most important things I am taking away from this are:
1: Forget about discussing herd immunity. It's not possible.
2: This winter is going to be very bad because the virus is not getting weaker.
3: We cannot rely on the numbers we are seeing from the states. Whatever numbers we see, it's much, much worse.

This is straight from a high-ranking scientist on the front lines, not a politician. Feel free to do with this information what you want, but I'm not doubting anything she said.

I'm comfortable with what I've done over the past 18 months. I repeatedly shared information with family, friends, and coworkers, trying to convince them how serious this was.

The end result was being asked to leave a company I worked at for 15 years and 90% of the people I shared with thinking I am a raving, paranoid lunatic. The other 10% are in positions to either independently confirm the information I put out or provide me with information which I then shared with GLP. I have disabled my FaceBook account and am no longer sharing information with anyone outside of this thread.
