What kind of logic can you use a map of flat earth to prove flat earth wrong? If you accept those numbers from that map, it looks like you accept flat earth as a proof IF you use it as a proof.

Obviously to disprove a theory, you need to show that theory, and explain why it is full of crap.

I stood in heaven and looked down to the Earth and saw it was round. As I was standing there, I saw a shadow coming in the shape of a giant square come over my head and continue moving it's way down to earth and stop right over the earth and connect to it and it made the symbol of a squared circle.

And the AC totally ignored the REAL world flight data. How convenient.

The scale of that map using the numbers shown is so far off the charts its ludicrous. Yes ludicrous. Using the distance of NYC to Paris, you can easily see that the distance line for Sydney to Santiago is roughly 5x the length of the NYC to Paris while being just under 2x the mathematical distance shown.

You're observational comprehension is astounding. I also did not state that map was real; just that line of argumentative logic was flawed by the use of the map.

Every Flat Earth map I've ever seen is an azimuthal equidistant map which has the same inherent problem as the one I posted.

Everyday phenomena explained by a round Earth but not a flat Earth:

- Sunsets
- If I go south, I can see stars I can't see from where I started.
- If I go west or east, I eventually find I have to reset my watch to reflect the fact that the sun sets at a different time.
- I can determine my exact latitude just by taking the angle of the North Star above the horizon and subtracting it from 90.

Forget it. It's not an argument based on logic and everyday experience.

It's based on the segment of the world they can see. If they can't see the curve then their logic follows it's not there.

Forget magnetism and a field of energy created by a rotating sphere it's beyond their frame of reference.

I've even heard they go out in their yard and squirt tennis balls with a hose to prove water won't stick to a curve!
