YOU don't Salute with your LEFT-HAND. Since they are the Door Detail it would be odd for only one of them to Salute so they both don't.

Why?

Some were some weren't. Lazy days can happen, but it doesn't look good if every soldier is having them on inauguration day. I think you're grasping at straws a bit.

I tell you what though, the 5k troops that had to sleep in that freezing garage the other night just might have a lazy day too during the next salute time.
