Has anyone this year had pneumonia or bronchitis?
I don't know much about either illness, I don't know anyone who has had it before to ask. I know that people have reported flu like symptoms already this year but I wonder if anyone this year on the board knows someone or who may be someone who has had pneumonia or bronchitis symptoms following a cold or virus?

Re: Has anyone this year had pneumonia or bronchitis?
I have the pre-pneumonia thing going right now. For years I have been able to avoid this; but last Sat, I woke up with a sore throat brought on by nasal drip (this is stage 1); I attempted everything to off set what would come next, hoarse voice, bad sinus problems (stage 2); and finally, where I am today, coughing and hacking yellow/green phlem. this is where you need to be careful. If not contained, it will lead to walking pneumonia. I saw it coming and was powerless to stop it. I'm on sinus spray, antihistamine, cough syrup; lots of liquids, no dairy and as much sleep as I can get.

Re: Has anyone this year had pneumonia or bronchitis?
fill your body with oil of oregano, the one from the mediteranean, only from North American Herb & Spice.

I took the "Oreganol" which is the liquid wild handpicked P73 and IT WORKS. I did not dilute it, I put drops under my tongue directly from the dropper and it burns a little the first few times, but I was only sick for a few days and then got better immediately. Awesome viral and bacterial killer. I also took their Oregamax.

Get the book "The Cure is in the Cupboard", by Dr. Cass Ingram. It will tell you how much to take. On page 107 for Pneumonia it says to inhale the oil directly from the bottle as often as possible, take a few drops under the tongue twice daily (do not dilute) and take 3 capsules three times a day (9 total) of Oregamax. It works !! On page 60 for bronchitis it says to take 5 or more drops twice daily. Plus the Oregamax 3 or more capsules twice a day. There is a whole list of things it cures. It is a potent antioxidant and should be in everyones medicine cabinet.

It is better than going to any doctor and paying him $75.00 dollars to sit in a freezing waiting room with all the other sick people in your city, and catch some other communicable disease while you are waiting.

The Oreganol was $30.00 at the health food store. Most of them carry it, but you can also order on line. The Oreganol is also in gelcaps if you want to take that way.

Re: Has anyone this year had pneumonia or bronchitis?
my 4 year old daughter just came out of the hospital with phenomonia in both lungs. It started out as a cold and bronchitis type cough. I took her to the Dr. and they would not do anything for her. They told me to go get more cough medicine. I told them she needed antibiotics, but they would not write her a perscription. She got worse and worse and her fever shot shy high. She was having much difficulty breathing, and I brought her to the Hospital emergency room. The Dr. was trying to tell me she just has asthma. I told him no, it IS pnenomia. They took a chest x ray because I would'nt leave till they did. He seemed annoyed that I was demanding a chest Xray. He came back to the room with his tail between his legs, having to admit to me, that it was in both lungs even and they were admitting her. She could have died because the stupid Dr. the first time let her go home saying it was just a cold. I found out as well that there was 6 other children with pnemonia in the hospital.

Re: Has anyone this year had pneumonia or bronchitis?
Sorry you are feeling bad....

You need to try and keep those secretions liquefied so that when you cough you can get them up. Lots and lots of fluids.

I also would do the steam bath thing. Go in your bathroom and run the shower as hot as you can until the room steams up, then stay in and take DEEP breaths for as long as you can stand it. You will begin to cough...it's good to cough, as long as it is productive (it gets that crap outta your lungs).

Only take the cough med when you need to sleep. Too much cough med is counter productive as it allows the secretions to lay in your lungs and become viscous.

Percussion is also helpful if you have someone who can do it to you

Good Luck and God bless

Re: Has anyone this year had pneumonia or bronchitis?
Two days before thanksgiving i caught something that had me throwing up so bad it felt like my stomach was turning inside out.At the same time coming out the other end!

For 14 hours straight!every 30 to 45 mins one end or both was blowing.Im still very weak from whatever it was.

my loving daughter brought it home with her for the holiday and i did my best not to catch it while i was taking care of her, didnt work!

I have never in my life been this sick before,my ribs and lower back still hurt from the heaving,i would never wish this on anyone.

I haven't had anything like that since the pneumonia vaccine I got in 2003. I had two 8 month long bouts with it in less than five years, so the doctor suggested I get it, even though it's rarely given to "civilians". It's usually reserved for the military and health care workers.

Sad that there's nothing inthat routine that really helps.

Colloidal Silver, Oil of oregano, olive leaf extract, Sambucol (ESP Sambucol), and vitmin c megadoses helps mre than anything. Get powdered Vit C and put it water with some honey or get a few lemons and squeeze them into a cup and add water.

Cayenne Pepper. Cinnamon. Fresh raw juicy garlic. (Toast bread crunchy to scrape your throat, rub the raw clove onto the bread, then brush with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Eat it, it's very hot. But it helps.

Laxative tea to get the infected pus you're swallowing out of your body and lots of green and peppermint tea. NO chocolate, no sugar.

And try some digestive enzymes and broths of veggies. You need some NAC and L syine, which are amino acids that eat up dead cells. Get your body some help flushing shit out. Immunity is weak.

And take a bath everyday and change your sheets and night shirt everyday. And get a bottle of Ananywhere and spray it on the door handles and fridge, and the phone and remote. So you don't reinfect.

Re: Has anyone this year had pneumonia or bronchitis?
My 21 year old son had a flu-like illness 2 weks ago-he was seen by the school nurse (college at Samford University in Birmingham) and had hi fever, HA, joint pain, cough, GI stuff..after a week he developed pneumonia and was sent home on Factive antibiotic. He improved last week until 2 days ago-then had some wheezy bronchitis left over. Now on another antibiotic, steroids and inhalents.
Hopefully he'll get well since he's going back to school tomorrow.
Also- he told us last night their gym was closed a month ago for staph-MRSA (!) He works out for track/field team)
Bad bugs out there!
I had started him on sambucol and echanacea until he could get more antibiotics-
whew.

I had what you are describing about two months ago,
and it wasn't fun.
Finally had to go see the Doc.

Sinus infection and bronchitis.
My Canadian doctor who has since retired, told me, after I told him I took a shot of brandy every night, told me, "Well, it may not help, but it doesn't hurt".

Had bronchitis a few months ago. Couldn't shake it.
Had to see a doctor three times.

It took a cortisone shot, strong antibiotics, and a series of steroids to knock it out.

Actually quite a few people get the pneumovax shot, if needed according to their medical history/info. Most healthcare workers are not routinely given pneumovax, usually Hep B is more commonly recommended.

My sis flew back from Europe on Nov. 4, and caught viral pneumonia from someone in the airplane (very common with all of that germy, recirculated air in long flights). It has been almost 3 weeks now, and she still has a horrible cough.

What if your chest is hurting but there is no cough? Chest feels heavy and bruised. Had a stomach bug which went on to become sore throat with a drip on one side, could feel it dripping in stomach and down neck. It is no fun and seems to be lasting a VERY long time, almost three weeks now!

my dad has had pneumonia for months
the stupid canadian doctor thought it was malaria!?
we eventually managed to find another slightly less stupid canadian doctor who has prescribed antibiotics ... I have picked up this thing now too but because my body's immunity is not comporomised I am fighting it off on my own (I'm not sure the antibiotics are a good idea for my Dad)

Same here. Cold is gone but the cough has been lingering for several weeks. I started doing the apple cider vinegar/honey thing for two days now. I know this works wonders but I've been slack the last few weeks.
