Re: Hospital Nurse Here; Something has changed with the "Covid" crap
I guess you don't have an immune system. Getting tired of the bed-wetters.

I do think that some masks can help a little bit by cutting down in the amount of viral load that is in a given area. It definitely helps cut back in the droplets as we speak from being sprayed out into the atmosphere. But the CDC says that the masks we wear to protect us from Covid won’t help protect our lungs from smoke filled air much like the poor air quality from those “wild fires” a couple months back. Those smoke particles are 10 times larger than the Corona virus particle. So if the mask we are using doesn’t protect us from smoke, the Corona virus can get through the masks we are wearing 10 times easier because it is 10 times smaller...

Masks might help a little bit but not that much. Best to stay home whenever possible. If you have to go out, then don’t ever touch your face, wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer anytime your hands come into contact with anything when you aren’t home. Sanitize your hands the moment you are returning to your vehicle, before you do anything AND before you take your mask off. Don’t reuse your mask unless it is a washable mask and wash it daily.
Take your vitamins, at a minimum take vitamin D, C, and zinc everyday (with food.) and there are a lot more things you can do to get and remain healthy.

Let me make a slight correction to my reply. Best to stay home and take all measures to avoid getting Covid IF you are vulnerable to having complications due to underlying health conditions or if you just want to avoid this biologically man made weaponized virus. Personally, I don’t want to get sick even if it lasts for a week, who likes to be sick. But if it will later prove that once you have got it that will build immunity then maybe it’s worth the risk to be sick with it.

I took a taxi-cab today and met the same dude driving my area for over 20 years. He is over-weight, smokes, and said he's 40. He was Not wearing a mask, goggles, shield, gloves and he said it's over-hyped and he has not become sick yet because he takes vitamins, like C and D.

He smokes ... tobacco is making a come back! Earlier on there was explanation of the prophylactic effect of nicotine in fumes.

Re: Hospital Nurse Here; Something has changed with the "Covid" crap
TRUE STORY!

I lived across the street from a Radiologist (M.D.) who worked in a well known hospital in Cleveland, OH.

Our families were good friends. He was Indian (from India) but he served in the British Army as a doctor, and then came to the U.S. and is a citizen of this country. Also, his children were 4.0 students in high school.

That's a little background.

Some evenings, I would walk with him on our street, as we liked to talk philosophy (I was in college back then.)

And he smoked these long, brown cigarettes (yet, he was a cancer doctor).

I smoked too.

And this is what he told me.

CIGARETTES do not cause CANCER. They do cause emphysema, and COPD...if you smoke too many. But not cancer.

He said...."The fact is, just as many people who NEVER smoked, get lung cancer, as those who smoked their entire lives. It's 50/50."

And this is the guy who reads the X-Rays that detect LUNG CANCER.

Will smoking, in some way, help prevent getting COVID? I don't know. What do you think?

They know the shit is hitting the fan and need AHOD.

After seeing the disaster that is El Paso, you'd think people would start to realize how serious this situation is.

It's frustrating to me because in WWII, this country came together, sacrificed together, and did it all for the common good.

But now? You can't even get people to wear masks or give a damn about the people they interact with daily.

I understand that the chances of you dying are very low, but they will increase when our healthcare system is overloaded, staff is getting sick or dying, then things that were once issues we could deal with become deadly.

It's all so bizarre to see how easily our own countrymen will turn their backs on their neighbors. :(

Re: Hospital Nurse Here; Something has changed with the "Covid" crap
I got an email from my cousin, she lives in IL

she got sick and had the most bizarre symptoms: buzzing in her head, panic attacks, up one day and feeling better but then something else would hit saying it was like a roller coaster ride, muscle weakness and weird feelings like it was not even her own body, she said it started out like a cold but a few days in she lost her smell and taste and knew something was wrong, she and her husband got tested, he also tested positive but had no symptoms

this is a small part of the long email she sent, we are both having hot flashes from menopause and I had been asking her about that because we are a lot alike but I wanted to know more about her covid symtpoms because it would probably hit me the same way:

"The weird thing about this Covid is it seems to have completely stopped all my hot flashes. It’s a weird fucking invasive thing. It’s the most bizarre thing I’ve ever felt. It’s like it gets into your system and crops up in one place and goes away and pops up somewhere else. Like it’s alive and playing a game with your mind. I think I’m over it and then in the middle of the night it says ha ha I’m still here and I’m going to freak you out with another weird symptom."

She went on to say she felt like she was being attacked and it was really scary for about 2 weeks. But she said she never had breathing problems so she didn't have to go to the hospital. The worst part was waking up with awful panic attacks and buzzing so bad in her head that she had a hard time getting calm again.

I'm doing everything I can to make sure I don't get this
Forgive your enemies, it messes with their heads.

there is no nurse posting here.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79335705

Idiots like you are why nurses stay quiet. 32 year nurse here, this has been the most exhausting year of my career. Many of my colleagues feel the same way. I would love a week off with no responsibility. Actually 3 days would be great.

I have been long term GLP, I don’t have trust in government authority and I don’t know how COVID came about but this I do know - it is real. Some will die - fat definitely an issue. I have had employees with it. Most recent one traveled to an area of the state that has an outbreak. He is obese with pre-existing condition. He had it pretty bad, his family member got it worse. Still in the hospital, also heavy, unhealthy and non-compliant.

I don’t wear a mask unless absolutely required, I go very few places because of it. I have no agenda other than sharing boots on the ground data, the reason I get my news here for the last 12 years. Take it for what it is worth.

Re: Hospital Nurse Here; Something has changed with the "Covid" crap
I have been working on the frontlines in acute medicine in a large northeastern hospital. When this all started I was sure it was some kind of overblown hoax or a bioweapon that didn't turn out to be as bad as what they were trying to make us believe.

My hospital was empty despite TV news telling us that hospitals are overflowing and we all need to be in masks. I have known all along the whole thing is not what they are telling us; and have always suspected that our regular flu, respiratory failure (ARDS) patients etc are being labelled as COVID thanks to these faulty, manipulated tests. Aspiration pneumonia is common in the elderly and lots of these patients were labelled as "COVID". That is a fact.

My conclusion was always that this is an election year deep state psy op to destroy the economy, mandate vaccines and all that NWO stuff. Clearly there has been no *real* pandemic in the way that the media portrays.

I still believe all that , but something has changed in the last two weeks. Actually, about a month ago, resources were drastically cut without us being told anything other than the usual lies and BS from management. THEN.....we are suddenly being hit hard with patients in their 30's through 50s with *COVID* and these people are extremely ill and it is different than what we have been seeing all along with alleged "COVID" victims. They are throwing clots everywhere and that is what kills them.

Did they release a second wave? Is it a bad flu season that appears to look like what they are calling "COVID", or is this something else completely that has no name yet. Something COMPLETELY fucky is up. Resources and supplies were disappearing before we started getting slammed with the latest batch of "COVID".

The hospitals in this area are on their knees, staffing and resources are vanishing in conjunction with additional patients who are very ill. Too few beds, staff, equipment. Support staff and departments for nurses and doctors are being scaled back. Back in the spring and summer, nothing was happening. The ER looks like a third world zoo and the staff cannot cope. If I have to give you emergency IV meds I have to fight to get a damn IV pump and other equipment needed. We are not being stocked. It's like the budget for supplies is gone. On top of this our regular medical patients with COPD, CHF, Kidney failure are coming in sicker and sicker because the community care they need to manage their chronic illnesses is collapsing.

I have been in healthcare 20 years and never have seen things this bad. I have no idea what is happening. I can only tell you what I am seeing and it is giving me a bad feeling. Hospital administration is NEVER honest with nurses and doctors and is refusing to talk to us and answer questions or hear our concerns as per usual. Any requests for help or whistleblowing on unsafe patient conditions within the hospital gets labelled as "bad attitude".

you're ABSOLUTELY right. I've been supervising coronavirus spit tests online sinch March. Until about two wks ago I would ask if they had any contact with someone confirmed to have coronavirus. They'd always say no and id check back and all tests were negative. I thought it was gimic. Maybe it was election lines and Halloween?

You're also right about throwing clots. I've began taking aspirin a day. Any heart attack/stroke I see I suspect. A lot of ppl having a lot of symptoms that look like covid that are negative too though.

It makes your blood very thick. Blood clots are a serious concern.

This virus isn't just something that goes away. It's a bioweapon and its designed to destroy. Most come home on oxygen with long-term effects on different body systems.

In the 1918 Spanish Flu the first wave wasn't that bad. When winter came, however, nurses would go to work and die before the end of their shift. It killed mostly 30-50 year olds and it killed fast.

It's best to shelter in place if you can.

Vitamin C, D, and Zinc starting NOW!

If you get sick buy colloidal silver online (ingestible) gargle with it and swallow. When testing was scarce I saw people in the middle of the summer's fever's drop and cough go away. It's on Amazon.

Yes something has changed the past two wks. Two wks from now we will have significant death.
Who knows?

Re: Hospital Nurse Here; Something has changed with the "Covid" crap
Update:

The covid floor was short-staffed the other night and I was sent from my unit to work there and take an eight patient assignment.

4 out of the 8 were covid positive. One was Covid test result pending. The other three were there with rule out that became negative, and were waiting for a bed to open up elsewhere. The sickest one of the non-covid patients had severe neurological and cardiac problems.

This was medsurg, not ICU so these people were not critically ill at deaths door but still intense and complicated.

The covid patients here looked like folks with bad cold or flu symptoms. The most demanding covid positive patient had many other issues. That one was ALSO 400lbs, black, uncontrolled diabetes with blood glucose levels in the 300s refusing insulin and demanding more "snackz". Constantly. Every time I was in another patient's room hanging blood or assessing them and giving meds, this person was on the call bell to order more "snackz". I had already said no. On 0xygen, but also has a history of asthma, probably obesity-related. On dialysis for kidney failure secondary to uncontrolled diabetes. Bedbound at baseline at home with carers due to obesity.

Another one of the covid positive patients breathed right in my face as I was leaning in to insert an IV. Behind my supposedly well-fitted n95, I could still smell and taste his breath during that moment.

But that didn't piss me off like the obese patient refusing insulin, demanding "snackz and soda" and constantly complaining that I didn't stay in her room with him/her all night. I couldn't because I had 7 other patients, some on cardiac gtts and other important things. She/he was angry because she wanted me to stay in his/her room to hold fat thighs apart while she/he peed himself in bed. This person is bedbound at baseline as I was saying and refusing to get up and use commode, toilet, or use a bedpan in the bed.

Anyway if I get sick from the other person breathing in my face I will let you know.

Hello

Mask cause lack of oxygen
Which in turn affect the blood stream
Clots cause stroke and heart attack
When people start getting clots
They will blame it in Covid
There’s your second wave Gates was talking about
If enough people keep over from mask wearing
Then they will have a reason to do the vaccine
God you people are dumb

PCR and Elisa needed to detect it.

Hemorrhagic Fever.

Dark_Knight spoke of it.

Could it be a cross over of the African Swine Fever?

That’s what he kept saying is coming.

I was a lab tech. What do you mean throwing clots?
 Quoting: Irbancowgirl

Throwing clots is mostly a cardiology term. there are various blood clots in your body at most times. Normally your body dissolves them where they are. When you throw a clot it breaks free and enters your bloodstream. Usually causing Heart Attack, Pulmonary Embolism, or Stroke.....Cutting off blod to some area when the clot enters a vein too think to allow it to pass.

Don't take this the wrong way, but COVID didn't "change". The only thing that changed was your own personal situation and ability to see firsthand what thousands of others were already observing.

This is just another example of people clinging to the belief that something is fake until it happens to them directly, then they become concerned. When this happens, cognitive dissonance sets in and instead of acknowledging that you were incorrect in your first belief that COVID was a hoax, you've rearranged it in your mind so that it was not that you were believing a lie (that COVID is fake), but instead, COVID changed.

This situation is quite a complex series of psychological events taking place in your mind. All of those events were geared toward two things: coping with your current situation and refusing to believe that you could have ever been wrong.

If your area had not been hit prior to this, then you would be in the first wave for your part of the country. Technically speaking, the US never actually exited the first wave, though I suppose there's an argument one could make that the lull in cases in varying parts of the country was the end of the first wave.

But all of these things have been discussed, at length, on this forum. Many people kept yelling that it was a nothingburger, etc., and to them - in their minds - it absolutely is a nothingburger...until it happens to them personally.

Then their minds will either allow them to admit that they were wrong, or, their minds will do what yours has done and attempt to rearrange COVID into something else to reinforce your previous belief that COVID was a hoax. Instead of realizing that it is real and always has been real, the defense mechanisms in your mind instead flipped the entire narrative to suit your own original thought.

I say none of this to be mean or insulting. These are things a lot of people deal with, and you being in the medical field, I will assume you've taken Intro to Psych at some point. These things are discussed at length and is a condition of the human mind and should not be taken personal because it happens to a lot of people.

Get this through your thick skull: There is NO such thing as a "corona virus." There is NO SUCH THING as an infectious organism that can suddenly exhibit the NEVER BEFORE seen symptom of terminal blood clotting.

The test is 110% bogus
The data are 110% bogus

Every cause of of death in the last 9 months has been labeled as "covid."

This is a psy-op designed to re-make society and money and MAYBE there are people who have been dosed with a poison or blasted with radio frequency weapons to cause the strange clotting symptoms. There is NO way those outliers are related to a "corona virus" because there IS NO SUCH THING.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46432626

There are however hundreds of different bio weapons, nerve agents etc that do work with blood clots and hemoraging....They spread in a way that is more like Corona is spreading. They are impervious to cold (like corona) In fact cold makes most of them remain viable longer. Anyhow, good luck all. Our local hospital is in the same boat. I girl I went to school with 40 years ago is one of the head nurses at our covid unit and its a shit show. All vents taken. 3 people waiting for each vent when it opens up. Having to choose who gets it is messing her up.
I went out every night well into this, drinking, hanging out in the bar, but the past 3 weeks or so Ive been staying in.

Re: Hospital Nurse Here; Something has changed with the "Covid" crap
I wonder why they cut down on resources during a pandemic? Do you think the covid is mutating ?
 Quoting: KuvaszLove

Covid is mutating and always will until it burns out from lack of hosts. It's highly unlikely that it will be able to fully bypass all healthy immune systems forever though, so it WILL burn out eventually with or without a "vaccine".

That might take a year or five, but probably not more.

UPDATE

Today I had a call and multiple emails from the hospital I work at demanding instant reply. All staff ordered to disclose any upcoming travel plans immediately and told travel out of area *could result in unpaid suspension.

That’s because we aren’t a real country anymore

We’ve been flooded with illegal aliens, refugees and immigrants since the mid 60’s...now it’s full blown open borders

None of these people are American and they don’t share our values

We are not a high trust society because it’s just a giant blob of different cultures who don’t relate to eachother in any way; zero assimilation of any kind

This is the true cost of diversity and now the chickens are coming home to roost

It’s not Covid
They are killing themselves (MASKS)
The blood is on their own hands so to speak

Oxygen deprivation will eventually cause clots to form
I wish people would tell others
There is no vaccine
It’s all about lockdowns and masks
Lockdowns kill the economy
Masks kill people
2 vaccines warp speed
Get it?!

Because of the fall going into winter everyone's vitamin D levels are dropping and a lot of research shows vit D is really important for fighting viruses including specifically covid.

It's very simple. Cut resources and now you have paranoid people coming in with the flu thinking it's covid.

System by design.

I live and work in a tobacco town. Let me tell you -- we all know that it's not the tobacco that kills you; it's the filters.

Typical cigarette filters have hundreds of added chemicals in them. This was supposed to help reduce tar (the initial excuse), but at this point, I don't know what the heck all those chemicals are for. Bad stuff too, like traces of arsenic and stuff. Do a search and see the list.

The paper on the shaft now has a bunch of added chemicals too. Every so many millimeters there is a strip that stops the burning (unless you suck past it as you are actively smoking), to keep people from burning down their house when they fall asleep smoking in bed. (No, not kidding, this is why.)

Tobacco naturally burns slowly, so in between the slow-down strips of the shaft paper are accelerants to make it burn faster. This keeps it from going out, and my cynical self also says it's to make it burn so fast that you have to light another soon after to get your fix -- sell more cigs.

Old timers and native Americans rolled their own tobacco. No filters. Big difference. (Also a big hassle I'm not up for.)

As for covid, I don't know. Hubby and I both smoke organic American Spirits. Back in February we both got sick for a few days with all the standard symptoms of covid, but we have never been tested. (There wasn't a test at that time, I don't think, and we would never test anyway since we think it's a sham.) I'm usually pretty good about taking vitamins but had slacked off at the time due to money constraints, but hubby never takes vitamins. Ever. And he is sick very rarely, less than I am. Our teen daughter (does not smoke) did not get sick from whatever we had in February. So I don't know if smoking helps or not with avoiding covid illness, since we got sick (assuming it was covid, which I don't know). How's that for not answering the question, huh?

American Spirits organics have a 100% cotton filter with no chemicals. The tobacco has no chemicals either. Are they safer? I can only assume, based on my understanding of the chemicals in the filters, papers, and tobacco of regular cigarettes, that absolutely they are safer. Should people smoke? Probably not. It's expensive, dirty, smelly, and a dependency. But I digress.

Your doctor friend is correct, in my opinion. Lung cancer is a crap shoot, especially with other environmental contaminants, asbestos, microscopic remnants in the world from nuclear testing, and on and on.

I'm not advocating smoking. I'm just saying, stay away from regular commercial cigarettes.
