Re: Hospital Nurse Here; Something has changed with the "Covid" crap
I have been working on the frontlines in acute medicine in a large northeastern hospital. When this all started I was sure it was some kind of overblown hoax or a bioweapon that didn't turn out to be as bad as what they were trying to make us believe.

My hospital was empty despite TV news telling us that hospitals are overflowing and we all need to be in masks. I have known all along the whole thing is not what they are telling us; and have always suspected that our regular flu, respiratory failure (ARDS) patients etc are being labelled as COVID thanks to these faulty, manipulated tests. Aspiration pneumonia is common in the elderly and lots of these patients were labelled as "COVID". That is a fact.

My conclusion was always that this is an election year deep state psy op to destroy the economy, mandate vaccines and all that NWO stuff. Clearly there has been no *real* pandemic in the way that the media portrays.

I still believe all that , but something has changed in the last two weeks. Actually, about a month ago, resources were drastically cut without us being told anything other than the usual lies and BS from management. THEN.....we are suddenly being hit hard with patients in their 30's through 50s with *COVID* and these people are extremely ill and it is different than what we have been seeing all along with alleged "COVID" victims. They are throwing clots everywhere and that is what kills them.

Did they release a second wave? Is it a bad flu season that appears to look like what they are calling "COVID", or is this something else completely that has no name yet. Something COMPLETELY fucky is up. Resources and supplies were disappearing before we started getting slammed with the latest batch of "COVID".

The hospitals in this area are on their knees, staffing and resources are vanishing in conjunction with additional patients who are very ill. Too few beds, staff, equipment. Support staff and departments for nurses and doctors are being scaled back. Back in the spring and summer, nothing was happening. The ER looks like a third world zoo and the staff cannot cope. If I have to give you emergency IV meds I have to fight to get a damn IV pump and other equipment needed. We are not being stocked. It's like the budget for supplies is gone. On top of this our regular medical patients with COPD, CHF, Kidney failure are coming in sicker and sicker because the community care they need to manage their chronic illnesses is collapsing.

I have been in healthcare 20 years and never have seen things this bad. I have no idea what is happening. I can only tell you what I am seeing and it is giving me a bad feeling. Hospital administration is NEVER honest with nurses and doctors and is refusing to talk to us and answer questions or hear our concerns as per usual. Any requests for help or whistleblowing on unsafe patient conditions within the hospital gets labelled as "bad attitude".

I am also an RN working in Texas. I do not work the ER but I work neuro critical care. I see the boards at work and we have approximately 48 people in ICU for "respiratory failure" or "sepsis". They range from 20-80 year old. While I do not take care of COVID patients, I agree that supplies, staff, beds are very low on hand. We have even resorted to pulling out the old dinosaur beds from the basement. We do not have enough iv poles or pumps or arterial line cables. If someone has an art line I am taping it to bed railing. We do not have enough pumps. We do not have enough staff. Our patients are sicker and sicker and younger. We are overwhelmed, patients waiting over 24 hours for a hospital room. They are being placed in holding areas with nursing care of course. We are pushed to the max daily. Every day is a bad day. Only a nurse would understand this. Additionally, our rules for covid have changed. If someone comes back positive they are curving the 14 day wait to 10 day wait to come back to work as long as they are symptom free. It's been crazy every single day. I agree with you that we do not get answers, we cannot complain or you get shunned and ostracized. Maybe I trailed off but the train has gone off the tracks at my job. Take care.

there is no nurse posting here.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79335705

Idiots like you are why nurses stay quiet. 32 year nurse here, this has been the most exhausting year of my career. Many of my colleagues feel the same way. I would love a week off with no responsibility. Actually 3 days would be great.

I have been long term GLP, I don’t have trust in government authority and I don’t know how COVID came about but this I do know - it is real. Some will die - fat definitely an issue. I have had employees with it. Most recent one traveled to an area of the state that has an outbreak. He is obese with pre-existing condition. He had it pretty bad, his family member got it worse. Still in the hospital, also heavy, unhealthy and non-compliant.

I don’t wear a mask unless absolutely required, I go very few places because of it. I have no agenda other than sharing boots on the ground data, the reason I get my news here for the last 12 years. Take it for what it is worth.
 Quoting: Dee49

I'd like to see one of your paychecks. People forget how well paid you folks are. Do you only go up to double bubble? Or does it go higher than that?
 Quoting: Wookiee

Read between the lines for 32 years nurse. Currently working from home. Never states he/she is in a hospital.
After 32 years, I can guarantee that virtually no old nurses are working in ER or CC, it's too exhausting.
Most nurses who are older, if still in nursing, have found work somewhere other than a hospital.

States he/she "has employees"...not working as nurse.

Re: Hospital Nurse Here; Something has changed with the "Covid" crap
I ask as many people as I can how many COVID funerals they have been to, or how many COVID deaths they directly know?

So far out of dozens and dozens of people I have asked (I meet with a LOT of people), I have met no one that knows someone personally that has directly died of COVID.

Only rumours on the internet, and "stories" in the media.

How many COVID deaths do you personally know?

The closest connection to a COVID death I've come across so far is an acquaintance with a friend, who's sister's boyfriend died of COVID (for reals!... quite young apparently)... said with a straight face.

For clarity; me>acquaintance>friend>sister>dead boyfriend. That's 4 degrees of separation!

Based on "6 degrees of separation", and 1.2 million dead; we should ALL know personally between 8-12 people, within 3 degrees of separation, and 2 close people within 2 degrees of separation (like your brother's wife, or good friend's father), that have directly died of COVID.

It seems there can't be more than 10's of thousands of COVID deaths globally, otherwise we would ALL know more, and when 7 billion people is considered, it seems COVID could possibly be just a statistical error.

Hard to say, as there are no available facts, only stories.

Seems that, at least based on "deaths", COVID is false.

Want to prove to yourself that the pandemic is fake?

Take the "6 degrees of Death" COVID Challenge!

"How many COVID funerals have you been to"?
The bigger the global population, the more solutions available to us all.

Thx for the heads-up, I hope things get better for you and your fellow workers. This is sad and scary. IMO: I often thought something deadlier would come around for the 2nd wave. IL is also seeing more people in the younger age groups catching something and dying, at least according to the #'s they release to the public.

Apparently the masks are related to formation of blood clots due to the hypoxia caused by wearing (negative-pressure) masks?

Maybe we all need to be using supplemental oxygen if we are forced to wear a mask at work?

Time for some Big Picture info. On average about 36,000 Americans die from the normal flu. Try to get some sunshine or take Vitamin D. Also, Zinc Sulfate stops the virus from replicating.

Wrong, hospitals are keeping a close eye on our hours. We are expected to put in 15 hour work day in 12 hours. Maybe we get a 30 minute lunch break with numerous interruptions and wear n95 the entire shift. Can't go empty my bladder for over six or seven hours at a time. No overtime or huge pay going on here. Nothing glamourous going on behind the scenes. Unless you're on this side helping people I suggest you shut your pie hole.

Take care.

I went to a hospital in North Texas (DFW area) last week for surgery. Spent two days in the hospital. That place was dead. It was only busy in the outpatient surgery wing. Just my observation.

Similar experience for me. I had to go in to pick up my next door neighbor. He's elderly and couldn't go in or get home on his own. The place was dead. Three cars in the parking lot. This is a big hospital. Nobody on the desks. There was actually a sign telling you to just walk on through and go to wherever you were going. I had to take the elevator up a couple floors. I saw like five nurses sitting around drinking coffee when I got off. That was it. One doctor, the one releasing my neighbor. Nobody else.

When I went for pre-op eval and blood work, I was wandering the halls. No one was really around. All they do at the entrance is take your temp and ask a few questions. Quite the opposite from what is being reported.

I have not, nor will I go to a funeral, or any other gathering.

So, your final question is BULLSHIT, just like your thesis!

 Quoting: GeorgeSumner'sAcorn

the problem is, people have grown up trusting authority because their lives were pretty good.

and the demons who have taken over know that. they know once things start to REALLY REALLY suck people are NOT going to trust them for very long, and they are going to need to kill you all, at least the ones who don't LOOOVE living under absolute beyond 1984 malevolent tyranny that has no upsides.

They said months ago Covid-19 was a vascular attacking virus. If you weren't a retarded Trump-humper, you would not have been shocked by reality. Hope you survive.
 Quoting: EliseM1896

Stupid comment. They’ve also said 99.85% survival rate. So which is it? Gonna kill you or not?

This OP thinks it’s mutated possibility.... now that’s a new strain. Also I’ve read that this virus has not been isolated in a patient. There’s a difference between a positive PCR and actual virus pulled from someone.

The last question can easily be read as "how many close personal COVID deaths" do you know?... (I asked the question multiple ways in my post... obvious to those with a sense of satire that my last questions is purposefully triggering... looks like it worked... triggered).

I don't really believe you, as you are effectively a "rumour on the internet"... you didn't even try to back up your claim. Just go straight to anger and belittlement, like a good little internet troll... I think we all know what that means (liar).

Also... not my thesis... 6 degrees is a whole whole field using Graph Theory and Network Theory (among others), that PROVE you should know between 8-12 COVID deaths. You don't.

Even your unsupported numbers don't reach the reality that they are lying to s about, because of "6 degrees".

Not my thesis at all... go argue with math.
