You’re 100% right. But that’s exactly what goes on. It’s sad but that’s how the majority of it seems to be working. And the reason I have hope is I think most sensible people will drop out of these hate forums online and get back to a caring life. I just like to think we have hope, and the cure is love, and it will win again. At least I hope so, I’m speaking from someone invested in the future and I’d like to think its all going to be okay

I guess most people are decent.. i have always found that to be so. When I have had car accidents people rush to help and are very concerned about my well fare. I live ina relatively small city called Perth in West Australia. I have lived overseas in big cities and strangely everyone goes abut their business in an orderly fashion and if you smile they will smile back. People who have a job and somewhere to live are generally law abiding and keep a civilized society running in a lawful way. However just viewed a powerful video on GLP re San Francisco and the homeless and ruined streets that visitors are warned to avoid because of needles, filth and faeces everywhere. People give these homeless people money, food, and so they are able to continue shooting up and living like subhumans. I see our small and beautiful little city becoming a bit run down these days too and the homeless are beginning to appear on our streets as well. . But there is not a big problem yet. Drugs are at the root of societies beginning collapse IMO. DRUGS (including alcohol) start the person on the loss of ambition. The drugged have no will and just want to lie around. To become sober is an act of will. There is an organization here i W.A privately run by a male . He uses tough love. It is very strict . But the men claim it saved their lives. After completing the in- care programme they given jobs or job openings and followed up. It has been hugely successsful. Men re unite with families and get back self esteem. The video I watched seems to be pelting these young able males who it is claimed choose the life-style and could work .. by castigating them and calling them lazy. I claim it is the substance abuse that alters their whole make-up. I have had personal experience with alcoholism and am not just shooting off my mouth.

Just when all seems lost, hope emerges.

I totally get it and the way it is all explained. But let need assure you there’s people doing good work down in inner cities. I was saved in one. And it’s not about saving everyone, it’s about save that one that wants to change. I was at a dead end road and if I didn’t change, i would be dead or in prison. I met some angels that showed me love and gave me a second chance.
Since then I’ve cleaned up got a career and brought in 2 new lives into this world. It’s our job to show the love of god and not to judge. We’re in tough times where the evil in the world is doing its best to stop that love from flowing. That’s my opinion, if I could sum it up in a few words, hate the sin, not the sinner

I'm sort of surprised by the number of people basing their opinion of this thread on OP's karma and not the content of the post. It reminds me of the social credit score bs in China. March lock-step with the state, points for you. Question something/call something out...take away your points. Lose enough points, lose access to services.

Or they film themselves "listening" on their social media to project how "refined and open minded" they are.

Well done. So pleased to hear your story. There are always two sides to every story and you posted the positive side... I think that your experience should be spread around to give those who have lost hope a new understanding. Help is available . You have to want it that is the bottom line. Yes couldn't agree more. The fact of the matter is that there isn’t a respectable intellectual on this planet - and I’m talking about true intellectuals - someone equivalent to Huxley, Leary, Sheldrake, McKenna, Mencken, etc....... who could tell you with a single ounce of honesty that “things are getting better”.

In fact, they all agree that we’re in complete decline. This truth is of the purest form and totally self-evident.

OP, rather than a shill who is here to cause ruckus or incite arguments, seems to realize that we’re indeed, VERY far up shit creek without a paddle. The reasons for this need not be explained.

Back to the intellectual aspect of this.. How do we handle these situations of clear and definite demise? We talk about them, as intellectual adults with some sort of unique input or insight. It doesn’t mean we must point fingers or blame any party, it means we discuss solutions, or a lack of solutions, or that we discuss where it all went wrong.

Whether OP came off as a self-righteous prick or not is irrelevant. I don’t believe that was his intention. Maybe he was having a bad day and wanted to discuss this social decay as a way to release the pent up frustration caused by living in a society that’s spiraling into a complete dystopian idiocracy. It does not matter.

What does matter is that his point was proven not by him but by the patrons of this thread, who lack the intellect to create open and at least semi-polite conversation and at worst case, friendly debate among open-minded thinkers.

I’d be delighted to enter into discussion about the original post but clearly this thread has been ground into dust by a lackluster crowd of simpletons who really shouldn’t have bothered to make comments in the first place.

Thread destroyed by a dying society who is so deeply in denial they defend the death of it up until their own death. It is sick, twisted, and amazing just how effective the grand method of indoctrination set into play by the establishment really is. Hence, here we are and this whole thread speaks volumes about the victors and the victims.

99.9% are slaves to the ideals of others, while believing they’re free and thinking for themselves. If that’s a flourishing society, I want no part of it.

Just letting you know that this thread was still good enough to keep me reading from beginning to end. I'm glad to discover that the present state of this forum hasn't driven out all the thinkers yet.
