What a beautiful boy. I had a similar situation happen when my son was that age. We got a call from his school that him and four other boys had followed a bat that flew into an equipment shed and had knocked the bat to the ground and touched it and then the bat flew away. The school said take children to the Dr. The Dr. Said there is no way to tell if the bat had rabies and if it did and the children touched it they could get rabies from which the only outcome is death if they don't get the anti rabies shot. So my six year old endured those shots. Some parents of the boys envolved didn't do the shots and never got rabies but with bats you never know. I could not take the chance.

She got it from cleaning the attic where there was bat feces, she got it from the dust of it. My sister-in-law said it was horrible and all medical providers had to be tested after working with her. They were working with her before test were conclusive regarding the rabies trying to save her baby as well as her. She could not and neither baby be saved. They were from and in Alabama. The most precious things are the simple things in life, always present in the simplest of minds.
