I remember those few cases where they talked about the guy that ate the other mans face then they blamed it on bath salts. Afterwords they said there was no sign of drugs in his system. Didn't hear anything else after that.

Eyes open, no fear.

They say in this article that it is extremely rare to have a rabies death. If you hear about any more in the next week or so then you know for sure something bad is going on.

^yup. I heard on the satellite radio the other day someone talking about a new flu virus that is not curable with antibiotics of any kind. Plus STDs now that are non-curable. WTF! If this rabies/flu hybrid goes airborne and your natural immune system does not kick in we could have an epidemic of rabid people running around biting people.

Thanks for the clarification. this rabies outbreak is still a valid threat though and Rabies causes flu-like symptoms at first. And I was mistaken the thing I heard on the radio was about the NIGHTMARE BACTERIA. So yeah, we're in trouble.

Thanks.

Another thing that is weird is that the incident map isn't showing any rabies activity since 5-22-2012. Which is a big fat lie. If you go to google news tab and type in rabies there is tons.

Re: OUTBREAK WARNING: RABIES!!! NEW CASES APRIL 20, 2013 . HORSE TESTS POSITIVE!! SPREADING IN USA, MULTIPLE CASES NATIONWIDE!
Organ Transplant Leads To Rabies Infection and Death

Last Friday, March 15, the CDC confirmed that a rabies death in Maryland was caused by an organ transplant from an infected donor. Three other patients received organs from the now deceased donor, and all are being evaluated by healthcare facilities.

According to the CDC, the donor was admitted to a Florida healthcare facility in 2011, shortly after moving there from North Carolina. Officials believe the patient was exposed to rabies in North Carolina; investigations to determine the source of infection are underway.

Soon after being admitted, the patient died. Organs (kidneys, heart and liver) were sent to Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and Maryland. Sixteen months later, after the death of the Maryland recipient, officials learned that the strain of rabies in both the donor and the recipient match, and is likely from a raccoon

Re: OUTBREAK WARNING: RABIES!!! NEW CASES APRIL 20, 2013 . HORSE TESTS POSITIVE!! SPREADING IN USA, MULTIPLE CASES NATIONWIDE!
Wow...this could turn into a major event. Definitely not good.

With the incubation period having such a various range from person to person (a few days to a few months) an entire city could be exposed/infected without anyone showing even the smallest of symptoms.

When the first symptoms do present, they're often vague & non-specific. Most people do not run to the family physician when they have a headache or runny nose. But if the patient does go for treatment, they're often misdignosed as having something else. Meningitis, West Nile, Encephelitis, Flu, etc.

If the patient does not receive treatment at the time of exposure, death is nearly guaranteed within 10-14 days from symptom onset.

Here's a great site for information. Has a list of infectious diseases including most common symptoms reported. Great place to begin your research...especially if you're not familar with communicable disease. The ones relevent to this case will be all the diseases listed as being neurological in nature.

[link to www.buzzle.com]

The link from ac# 5535 (^above^) is great to watch for case reporting. Definitely my favorite. Easier to follow than other sites because the pins are color coated depending on the severity/epidemic levels. Keep in mind, however, that this chart will reflect the disease being reported. If a case is listed as being 'west nile' that's how it will appear. Whether it's an accurate diagnosis is irrelevent.

Great post, op. This definitely needs to be monitored. hf

Indeed it will. It will also cause a much more severe famine and food costs to go up due to farmers having to give extra rabies vaccinations to cattle. If they even work.If not then we're really in trouble. If this Rabies blends with this NIGHTMARE BACTERIA that is "everywhere" and evolves into a super virus then we are really doomed.

Re: OUTBREAK WARNING: RABIES!!! NEW CASES APRIL 20, 2013 . HORSE TESTS POSITIVE!! SPREADING IN USA, MULTIPLE CASES NATIONWIDE!
Rabies is exhibited in the infected through three (3) stages, the final being "Rage", as the Rabies virus specifically targets the brain. A mutation of this could definitely present what would appear as "Zombie", but a more cautionary tale would be of the creation of a hybrid virus.

For example: a Rabies/ Meningitis hybrid would be easily transfered, highly contagious, and fast-acting with a low incubation period, and each specifically target the brain/ CNS.

"Zombies" could exist with the right mutation/ hybrid, and I firmly believe this is why all of the recent hype of zombies has been created - to acclimate the people to the possibilities. No one enjoys a good zombie flick more than I, but no doubt there exists the possibilities.

I have many more theories related to those who were named as "zombies" last year during their respective attacks, as well as the creation of such in the near future, but I'll refrain in order to not sidetrack the OP's thread.
Job 12:7) But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8) Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
